怎樣用英語表達“考慮”

在表達“考慮”時，很多同學(xué)會使用“think”或“consider”。那么，除了這兩個單詞外，還有哪些詞或短語可以表達“考慮”呢？對此，筆者就“考慮”的多種英語表達進行了歸納，以期同學(xué)們能夠熟知和掌握。

一、ponder

ponder作動詞，意為“考慮，思考，琢磨，深思”，常與over或on連用。如：

How to protect the environment is one of the im-portantissues for us to ponder over.如何保護生態(tài)環(huán)境是我們要考慮的重要問題之一。

She sat quietly by the window，pondering on the meaning of life.她靜靜地坐在窗邊，思索著生命的意義。

二、deliberate

deliberate作動詞，意為“仔細考慮，反復(fù)思考”，常與介詞on搭配。如：

They have deliberated on the details to finish the work on time.為了按時完成這項工作，他們仔細考慮了各個細節(jié)。

He has been deliberating on the matter all day，but he still have no idea what to do next.他一整天都在考慮這件事，但是還是不知道下一步該怎么做。

三、cogitate

cogitate意為“認(rèn)真思索，慎重考慮，深思熟慮”，可以與介詞on或about連用。如：

She is cogitating（on）giving up her job for the sake of kids.她正在考慮為了孩子們而放棄工作。

You should cogitate about the safety before using the software.在使用這個軟件之前，你應(yīng)該考慮它的安全性。

四、contemplate

contemplate意為“考慮，思索，深思熟慮，冥思苦想”等。如：

My family and I have never contemplated living abroad.我和我的家人從來沒有考慮過出國定居。

After contemplating，they decided to risk it.經(jīng)過深思熟慮，他們決定冒險一試。

You had better think over the meaning of every sin-gle word in you free time.你最好在空閑時間仔細琢磨下每一個單詞的意思。

五、take into account/consideration

take into account/consideration意為“考慮，顧及”。如：

There are many factors to take into account when you decide to start a business.當(dāng)你決定創(chuàng)業(yè)時，你需要考慮許多因素。

Taking into consideration the traffic jam，you had better start half an hour earlier.考慮到交通堵塞問題，你們最好提前半個小時出發(fā)。

六、take...under advisement

take...under advisement意為“對……做出周密或慎重考慮”。如：

She said she would take our proposal under advise-ment.她說她會慎重考慮我們的提議。

Before proposing a solution，we must take the mat-ter under advisement.在提出解決方案前，我們必須對這件事進行周密考慮。

七、give thought/consideration to

give thought/consideration to意為“考慮，思考，顧及”。如：

I’m sorry，I have no time to give much thought to the matter.對不起，我沒有時間去考慮這件事。

Please give careful consideration to the plan before making up your mind.下決心之前請仔細考慮下這個方案。

八、turn over in one’s mind

turn over in one’s mind意為“想來想去，仔細琢磨，深思熟慮”。如：

He began to turn over the holiday plans in his mind.他開始仔細琢磨度假計劃。

總之，在平時學(xué)習(xí)中，尤其是在寫作中，同學(xué)們不要局限于一種表達方式，要注意發(fā)散思維，從而提升英語表達能力。
