Dublin,One of the Most Youthful Cities in Europe

編者注：它是愛(ài)爾蘭經(jīng)濟(jì)增長(zhǎng)奇跡的代表，它是世界工資水平第二高的城市。它就是愛(ài)爾蘭的首都——都柏林。本期的《異域風(fēng)情》將帶你走進(jìn)都柏林，這個(gè)歐洲最年輕的城市之一。

Dublin is the capital and the largest city in Ireland.Interestingly,the word Dublin means black pool inIrish(愛(ài)爾蘭語(yǔ)).The city is located near the middle part of Ireland’s east coast with a population of over 1 million.

愛(ài)爾蘭的首都都柏林是愛(ài)爾蘭最大的城市。有趣的是，這個(gè)城市的名字在愛(ài)爾蘭語(yǔ)里是黑色池塘的意思。都柏林位于愛(ài)爾蘭東海岸中部附近，其城市人口約為100萬(wàn)。

Dublin is among the top 30 cities in the world.According to a European-widesurvey(調(diào)查)by BBC in 2003,interviewing 11,200residents(居民)of 112 areas in cities and countries,Dublin was the best capital city in Europe to live in,and Ireland was the mostdelightful(令人愉快的)country in Europe.

如今，都柏林是世界排名前三十的城市之一。2003年，英國(guó)廣播公司在全歐洲范圍內(nèi)做了一項(xiàng)調(diào)查，在城市和農(nóng)村的112個(gè)地區(qū)采訪了一萬(wàn)一千兩百位居民，得出了都柏林是歐洲最好的首都城市這一結(jié)論。同時(shí)受訪者也表示愛(ài)爾蘭是歐洲最令人愉快的國(guó)家。

Dublin experiencesmild(溫和的)winters and cool summers.There is noextreme(極度的)cold or hot time.Theaverage(平均的)maximum(最高的)temperature in July is only 18.9°C.Manylandmarks buildings(地標(biāo)式建筑)and parks also make this city more charming.

都柏林冬天溫和，夏天涼爽，沒(méi)有極度寒冷或炎熱的時(shí)節(jié)。7月份都柏林的平均最高氣溫也不過(guò)攝氏18.9度。這個(gè)城市的眾多地標(biāo)式建筑和公園也為其增色不少。

Dublin is regarded as one of the most youthful cities in Europe.About half of its citizens are younger than 25 years old.In 2009,Dublin was voted the friendliest city in Europe.There are several pubs across the city centre.Live music is popularly played on streets throughout Dublin and the city has produced several musicians and groups of international success,including Westlife.

都柏林被認(rèn)為是歐洲最年輕的城市之一。城市中約有一半的人還不到25歲。在2009年，都柏林被選為歐洲最友好的城市。市中心坐落著許多酒吧。都柏林的街道上活躍著各式各樣的現(xiàn)場(chǎng)音樂(lè)演出，這個(gè)城市里走出不少國(guó)際著名的音樂(lè)家和樂(lè)隊(duì)，西城男孩就是其中之一。
