英語寫作是英語教學(xué)過程中非常重要的環(huán)節(jié),也是提高學(xué)生英語綜合能力的重要方面。因此,英語寫作教學(xué)應(yīng)該是一個循序漸進(jìn)的過程,不可一蹴而就。這就要求我們一線教師從教學(xué)實際出發(fā)根據(jù)新課程(標(biāo))發(fā)展學(xué)生的寫作技能,提高學(xué)生綜合語言運用能力的要求,認(rèn)真研究英語寫作的各個環(huán)節(jié)和各個方面,邊實踐邊總結(jié),邊改進(jìn)邊提高。
通過高中三年的英語學(xué)習(xí),大部分學(xué)生對英語基本句型、過渡銜接、文章結(jié)構(gòu)不成問題,但是如何在千變?nèi)f化的寫作內(nèi)容上做至言之有物卻并非易事,如果我們經(jīng)常循序漸進(jìn)地訓(xùn)練高中三年完全可以達(dá)到預(yù)期的目的。
首先,對于給定的內(nèi)容我們要學(xué)會合理添加句子,附加成分作解釋說明。eg:1. It will be much more important for us to study harder and harder as we are in a competitive society.
(由于我們處于競爭型的社會中,學(xué)習(xí)對于我們來說越來越重要。) 2.There were something unrelated to that they interrupt the showing of the play, which made the people who are watching it impatient .Some of them even annoyed/making the people impatient and some of them even annoyed.(一些與電視劇無關(guān)的東西的播放使得觀看的人民很不耐心,有些甚至使人們很生氣。) 3. The sign is not placed a clear place, so there will be severe danger. In case of that case, it is hardly impossible for the people who are shopping to escape. (那兒的標(biāo)牌并不是很清楚,因此會有潛在的危險。一旦有危險購物的人們就很難逃走。)這三個句子分別增加了原因、結(jié)果和目的狀語使描述的內(nèi)容更加充實完整。附加成分作解釋說明,表達(dá)不同原因的句型有:There are several reasons for this,…;The reasons are as follows…;The reason for … is that…;The reason why … is that…. 表達(dá)無需說明的事實的句型有:It goes without saying that…;Its needless to say that…;Needless to say that…;Its obvious that….
其次,根據(jù)話題添加諺語(proverb) eg:1. As an old saying goes, “No pains, no gains.”We should concentrate our mind on the things that we are doing with.(正如諺語所說不勞無獲,因此我們應(yīng)該集中精力學(xué)習(xí)。) 2. It is known that, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.” It is important for everyone to take exercise.(眾所周知腦逸結(jié)合,鍛煉身體對于每一個人來說都很重要。) 3.He keeps company with the wolf will learn to howl. 近朱者赤,近墨者黑。So we should make good friends in our daily life.4. As the saying goes, “Time and tide wait for no man.” It is high time for us to make great use of time.(該是我們發(fā)奮努力的時候了,因為歲月不等人。) 英語寫作時我們可以根據(jù)寫作內(nèi)容添加與話題有關(guān)的諺語以增強(qiáng)寫作內(nèi)容的豐富性。常用的諺語如:Think twice before you do.(三思而后行)。Practice makes perfect. (熟能生巧)。When in Roman,do as the Romans do. (入鄉(xiāng)隨俗)。Do it now. (機(jī)不可失,失不再來)。Failure is the mother of success. (失敗乃成功之母). It is no use crying over spilt milk. (覆水難收)。An apple a day keeps the doctor away. (一天一蘋果,醫(yī)生遠(yuǎn)離我)。All roads lead to Rome. (條條大路通羅馬)。
另外,我們可以通過舉例說明增強(qiáng)文章的實效性。For example, we can use something which is recyclable instead of that which is made of something like plastic. We should use repeated-use products, plant varies of trees and save very drop of water and energy. (例如,我們可以利用一些可回收利用的物品而不用塑料制品,拒絕使用一次性產(chǎn)品,多種樹,節(jié)約水資源和其它的能源。)
最后,在文章的結(jié)尾我們通??梢蕴岢龀h或號召。比如關(guān)于珍惜用水的問題我們可以這樣來描述:Therefore, we have to care about our environment. To protect it, we should call on all the middle school students to save every drop of water, plant more trees and save energy. Otherwise, maybe the last drops of water will be dear like a diamond. As middle school students, we also have a part to play. Every should learn a good piece of tips:we do not care about our environment, it will not care about us. With everyone playing a little part, we can make a difference. The word will be a good place to live. 我們必須關(guān)注我們的環(huán)境。為了保護(hù)環(huán)境,我們應(yīng)該號召周圍的人們珍惜水資源,種樹,節(jié)約每一種能源。否則的話,最后的一滴水就可能會變成我們的眼淚。作為中學(xué)生,我們應(yīng)該發(fā)揮一定的作用,我們必須記?。豪速M水資源就是在浪費我們的生命,只要人人都獻(xiàn)出一點愛我們的世界將會變得更加美好。
Writing a composition is just like making a sandwich. (寫作就像制作三明治一樣,作料越豐富制作出的三明治就越好吃。) 英語寫作如果只列舉條款信息就像只用面做的面包,無色無味。但是,如果我們能夠適當(dāng)?shù)卦黾痈呒壘湫?,舉例說明,增加諺語,文章的說服力就會大大的增強(qiáng)。
