【摘要】:余光中與錢鐘書都是我國近現(xiàn)代著名的文學家、翻譯家,二人的翻譯思想與理念在我國翻譯史上影響深遠。余光中認為,翻譯須用純凈的中文。以散文形式寫譯論,熔知性和感性于一爐。鐘書則梳理了傳統(tǒng)譯論中的“信、達、雅”原則,提出以詩譯詩的主張,并提出了在譯界引起廣泛關(guān)注的“化境”說。

1 余光中《翻譯與創(chuàng)作》
原文:
翻譯原是一種“必要之惡”,一種無可奈何的代用品。好的翻譯已經(jīng)不能充分表現(xiàn)原作,壞的翻譯在曲解原作之余,往往還會腐蝕本國文學的文體。三流以下的作家,或是初習創(chuàng)作的青年,對于那些生硬,拙劣,甚至不通的“翻譯體”,往往沒有抗拒的能力,濡染既久,自己的“創(chuàng)作”就會向這種翻譯體看齊。
譯文:
Translation is a kind of “necessary evil” originally, it’s not an alternative succedaneum. Even a good translating work can’t express the meaning of original work sufficiently, the bad translating work not only misinterpret the original work’s meaning ,but also do harm to the literaryform of the target language. The third –rate writer and below ,or the youth at the beginning of leaning creation ,they don’t have the resist ability to the rigid、unskilled、and even unsmooth translating work. With the long-time influence of this kind of work ,their own translating work will follow this kind of translating work ‘s footsteps ,and be similar to this kind of translating work .
2 錢鐘書《林紓的翻譯》
原文:
文字翻譯的最高標準是“化”。把作品從一國文字轉(zhuǎn)變成另一國文字,既能不因語文習慣的差異而露出生硬牽強的痕跡,又能完全保存原有的風味,那就算得入于“化境”。十七世紀有人贊美這種造詣的翻譯,比為原著的“投胎轉(zhuǎn)世”(the transmigration of souls), 軀殼換了一個,而精神姿致依然故我。換句話說,譯本對原作應(yīng)該忠實得以至于讀起來不像譯本,因為作品在原文里決不會讀起來像經(jīng)過翻譯似的。
譯文:
The highest standard of translation is “hua”. When one Translate the works form one language to another language,it want to reach a goal called ”huajing” ,that means the translation shouldn’t looks farfetched and non-native because of the language difference,and the translation also can keep the style of the original work. In the 17th century, someone praise this kind of translation , they call this kind of translation is the original work’s transmigration of souls. The translation change the original work’s form but keep the essence and style of the original work. That means the translation should obey the original work like that is not the translation. Because the original work is fluent enough and doesn’t look like translation.
