The Wimpy Kid is back， and he clearly has hit his

growth spurt[突然的激增].

Zachary Gordon， who first came onto the big screen

as Greg Heffley in 2010’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid注， returns for the third film in the series， Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days， opening Aug. 3rd.

“I’ve grown 12 inches since the first movie，” says Gordon， now 14. “And my voice is really deep. People will be surprised. But then they’ll see it’s Greg， he’s still the same kid.”

That same outdoor-loathing[討厭]， video-game

loving Greg also has a new challenge: surviving summer vacation outdoors after his father， Frank， signs him up for the local Wilderness Explorers group.

“I’d give Greg a three out of ten for camping，”Gordon says. “He doesn’t know how to do it at all. It’s easy to see.”

Each film in the Wimpy Kid series is based on author Jeff Kinney’s books and focuses on different relationships in Greg’s journal-writing life. Dog Days is all about his dad.

“This one is， at its core[核心]， about the emotional

relationship between father and son，” director David Bowers says. “It’s two males who maybe butt heads[對(duì)抗] and cannot seem to find common ground at first. They get there after a few peaks and a lot of valleys.”

“小屁孩”回來(lái)了，而且明顯長(zhǎng)個(gè)兒了。

在2010年的《小屁孩日記》中，飾演格雷·赫夫利的扎克瑞·戈登初次登上大銀幕。今年的8月3日，他將在該系列電影的第三部中再次與觀眾見(jiàn)面。

“十分為滿分的話，我會(huì)給格雷的露營(yíng)打三分，”戈登說(shuō)。“他完全不知道要怎么做，那再明顯不過(guò)了。”

《小屁孩》系列的每一部電影均改編自作者杰夫·金尼的原著，每部都會(huì)集中描寫(xiě)格雷的日記生活中記錄的不同人際關(guān)系。第三部講的是他爸爸。

“這一部的核心是父子的情感關(guān)系，”導(dǎo)演大衛(wèi)·鮑沃斯說(shuō)。“起初，這兩個(gè)男人也許會(huì)硬碰硬，似乎無(wú)法找到共識(shí)。在這段關(guān)系出現(xiàn)了無(wú)數(shù)低谷和幾次高潮之后，他們終于能互相諒解了?！?/p>

“As his dad comes into the tent， Greg sees his dirty hand and thinks it is the Muddy Hand chasing him，” says Gordon. “Greg has a mallet[槌棒]. It’s not good.”

“We actually put our actors on a terrifying ride and put cameras on it，” says director Bowers. “Most of what you see is real—the fear.”
