Breeding report of a new super-early maturing apricot cultivar Guojie

Abstract: Guojie, a cutting-edge super-early maturing and hard-flesh apricot cultivar, was selected from a cross between Sungold and Luotuohuang made at the Liaoning Institute of Pomology In 2008. The seeds were mixed with sand and stored in a refrigerator at a temperature range of 2-7 ℃. The seeds germinated in mid of October and the seedlings were raised in the greenhouse during the winter, and the seedlings were planted in the field in May, 2009. In 2013, Guojie was initially selected for its distinct attributes, including its short fruit development cycle and hard flesh. Comprehensive assessments of its botanical, biological characteristics, economic traits, adaptability, and resistance were conducted from 2017 to 2019 at four distinct sites. Following this evaluation, the variety was officially approved and registered by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration in 2021. The Guojie tree exhibited a medium vigor and open canopy structure. Its young branches were smooth, with a reddish-brown color. The leaves were characterized by an elliptical shape with a pointed tip and serrated edges. The petals were pure white. The fruit distribution is uniform and exhibits a regular pattern on the tree. The fruits are bright orange in color. The average fruit size was 53.5 g. The flesh was orange-yellow, featuring a moderate juice content, thin fiber, and outstanding flavor. The stone was free from the flesh, and the kernel tasted slightly bitter. The soluble solid content was 14.2%, titratable acidity 8.2%, soluble sugar 1.1%, and ascorbic acid 6.2 mg·100 g-1. The firmness was 2.1 kg·cm-2. Guojie exhibited strong tolerance to storage and transportation, with a shelf-life of approximately 5 days at room temperature and up to 15 days under 4 ℃. In Xiongyue of Liaoning Province, the flowering started in early April and the blooming period lasted approximately 5 d. The fruit development phase was 55 d. The leaf falls initiated towards the end of October. The variety displayed a remarkable resistance to bacterial perforation and gum flow diseases and tolerance to cold. The variety would be ideally suitable for cultivation in the southern apricot-producing regions of Liaoning Province.

隨著消費(fèi)者和生產(chǎn)者對杏新品種要求的日益提高,不僅追求外觀美、耐貯運(yùn)且硬度大的特性,對果實風(fēng)味品質(zhì)的要求也越來越高[1],而早熟甘美杏品種的選育歷來是國內(nèi)外杏育種的核心目標(biāo)。杏育種者青睞早熟特性的原因:首先,早熟的杏果比其他落葉果樹(如蘋果、梨和葡萄等)更早成熟,上市時間具有優(yōu)勢,且在果品市場上占據(jù)顯著位置[2];其次,果實發(fā)育期的遺傳分布遵循正態(tài)分布,早熟或晚熟發(fā)生概率較低,中熟居多[3-4]。生產(chǎn)中常見的極早熟栽培品種駱駝黃、極品、麥黃杏等中國地方品種,這些品種優(yōu)質(zhì)、風(fēng)味好,但果肉軟、不耐貯運(yùn)、貨架期短,市場急需商品性好的極早熟杏品種。遼寧省果樹科學(xué)研究所李杏團(tuán)隊針對市場需求,制定育種策略,通過多點(diǎn)區(qū)域試驗,選育出極早熟杏新品種國捷。該品種成熟極早,比參照極早熟杏品種駱駝黃早5 d(圖1),與大連露地栽培的早熟櫻桃品種紅燈同期,且果實風(fēng)味濃郁、外觀誘人、果肉硬。國捷杏的選育不僅在產(chǎn)業(yè)上極具發(fā)展?jié)摿Γ覍?chuàng)新中國杏種質(zhì)資源的類型、豐富中國杏學(xué)科遺傳研究領(lǐng)域具有極高的科研價值。
1 選育經(jīng)過
國捷杏(圖2)是以國外引進(jìn)的中熟、商品性好的品種金太陽為母本與中國極早熟、優(yōu)質(zhì)地方品種駱駝黃為父本,于2008年在遼寧省果樹科學(xué)研究所鲅魚圈國家李杏種質(zhì)資源圃進(jìn)行人工雜交,果實成熟季獲雜交果61個。雜交種子在2~7 ℃冰箱中與沙混合保存,115 d后開始發(fā)芽。幼苗在日光溫室的營養(yǎng)缽中快速生長,翌年5月,32株幼苗以雙行(1.0 m × 1.0 m,3.5 m行距)高密度定植于育種圃,采用桶形樹形修剪。定植當(dāng)年,對實生苗主干側(cè)枝(長度≥5 cm)進(jìn)行4~12 cm的短截,第2年春季疏除背上枝、下垂枝和重疊枝,保留水平和斜生側(cè)枝,后續(xù)每年按此方法修剪。2013年,編號為09-3-12的實生群體進(jìn)入盛果期,因其早熟、果個適中、優(yōu)質(zhì)、硬肉,被初選為優(yōu)系。
2015年將接穗高接在遼寧省的蓋州、朝陽、莊河、興城基地的駱駝黃杏上進(jìn)行區(qū)域?qū)Ρ仍囼灒總€基地高接25株。2016年開始結(jié)果,在2017—2019年開始連續(xù)3 a(年)對其進(jìn)行鑒定、評價。區(qū)試結(jié)果(表1)顯示,該優(yōu)系表現(xiàn)出極早熟特性,果實發(fā)育期55 d,且在果實硬度、果肉類型、肉質(zhì)細(xì)膩度、核黏離性、可溶性固形物含量方面優(yōu)于駱駝黃,符合育種目標(biāo)。2021年10月,該品種獲國家林業(yè)和草原局新品種權(quán)證書,被命名為國捷(品種權(quán)號:20210519)。
2 主要性狀
2.1 植物學(xué)特征
國捷杏樹姿半開張,樹勢中庸,1年生枝長71.2 cm,粗0.6 cm,紅褐色,有光澤,斜生。葉片長8.7 cm,寬6.6 cm,橢圓形;葉柄柄長4.9 cm,紫紅色;葉尖突尖,葉基圓形,葉緣粗鋸齒;葉面平滑,呈綠色。花瓣5瓣,單瓣,圓形,白色;花蕾粉紅色,萼片暗紅色。
2.2 果實經(jīng)濟(jì)性狀
果實大小屬中型果,卵圓形,平均單果質(zhì)量53.5 g,大果可達(dá)75.3 g,整齊度好;果皮底色橙色,陽面著少量紅色,果面有茸毛;果頂平或微凹。果肉硬溶質(zhì)且多汁,橙黃色,口感酸甜,品質(zhì)優(yōu)良。經(jīng)連續(xù)3 a(年)測定,國捷杏果實可溶性固形物含量(w,后同)14.2%,可溶性糖含量8.2%,可滴定酸含量1.1%,維生素C含量6.2 mg·100 g-1,果實去皮硬度2.1 kg·cm-2;離核,苦仁,核卵圓形,核面粗糙;常溫下可貯藏5~7 d。
2.3 物候期
國捷杏為極早熟品種,在遼寧熊岳地區(qū),3月中旬花芽萌動,4月中上旬開花,花期持續(xù)5 d左右,6月初果實開始著色,6月上旬成熟,果實發(fā)育期55 d左右。10月末開始落葉,全年生育期約200 d。
2.4 生長結(jié)果習(xí)性
國捷杏萌芽率52.3%,成枝力弱。豐產(chǎn)和持續(xù)結(jié)果能力高于駱駝黃杏,栽植當(dāng)年即可形成花芽,第3年進(jìn)入盛果期,株產(chǎn)可達(dá)23.2 kg。國捷杏自花不結(jié)實,必須配授粉品種,沙金紅、極品、華縣接杏對國捷杏授粉坐果率分別為44.3%、34.3%和27.5%(表2),可作為授粉品種。
3 栽培技術(shù)要點(diǎn)
3.1 種植技術(shù)及適栽區(qū)域
春季土壤解凍后,采用3 m × 5 m的株行距進(jìn)行定植,挖60 cm × 60 cm × 60 cm的定植穴。若在重茬果園種植,需在穴內(nèi)添加適量生物菌肥、生物碳和基肥。栽種前修剪根系并進(jìn)行浸泡處理,定植后填實穴土并充分澆水,定干高度為60~80 cm,剪口涂抹保水劑。樹盤覆蓋黑色地膜,以減緩水分蒸發(fā)。采用滴灌方式灌溉并配合地膜覆蓋,保持土壤溫濕度穩(wěn)定,促進(jìn)根系快速生長。通過這種節(jié)水栽植技術(shù),新植果園的苗木成活率可超過95%。適宜在遼寧海城以南的全國杏樹種植區(qū)栽培。
3.2 簡約化修剪
整形以簡約的紡錘形樹形為主,夏剪時采用摘心、抹芽、疏梢和拉枝等技術(shù)。冬剪時,修剪弱枝,去除過密枝、直立枝和下垂枝,回縮當(dāng)年結(jié)果枝,以促進(jìn)更新和強(qiáng)壯。1年生苗木定植后,在60~80 cm飽滿芽處定干,以頂部直立生長的新梢作為中心干。當(dāng)新梢長至40 cm時摘心,保留一層主枝;每層主枝保留3~4個不同方向的新梢,長到20~35 cm時同樣摘心,并使用拉枝器調(diào)整與中心干的60°~80°夾角。在主枝上配置短果枝和花簇。對于生長緩慢的幼樹,在6月底生長旺盛期,通過短截刺激枝條,增加枝量,擴(kuò)大樹冠。
3.3 花果管理
國捷杏結(jié)果量大,5年生樹適宜的負(fù)載量為300~550個果·株-1,即每666.7 m2產(chǎn)量應(yīng)控制在1000~1500 kg才能達(dá)到應(yīng)有的果實品質(zhì)和大小。疏果時,短果枝留果間距為7~10 cm、中長果枝20~25 cm。當(dāng)果實有彈性時,方可采摘。
3.4 簡約化肥水管理
栽植前種植穴內(nèi)增施有機(jī)肥,與表土混合,增加土壤肥力。樹盤下覆蓋黑色地布抑制雜草生長和提高地溫。在幼樹期,于樹體生長季(6—7月)時,沖施化肥,促進(jìn)樹體生長;初果期時,于8月份沖施復(fù)合肥和增施有機(jī)肥控制樹體營養(yǎng)生長,促進(jìn)花芽分化,為進(jìn)入盛果期的樹體積蓄養(yǎng)分。進(jìn)入盛果期,由于國捷杏果實發(fā)育短暫,需在幼果期和硬核期追施復(fù)合肥,幼果期以N肥為主,促進(jìn)果實膨大;果實硬核期后以P、K肥為主,提高果實營養(yǎng)。根據(jù)土壤類型,分1~3次追肥。8月中旬至9月中旬,每666.7 m2施3000 kg有機(jī)肥,配合秸稈和菌劑,改善土壤結(jié)構(gòu),提高肥料利用率。
3.5 病蟲害防治
國捷杏多年觀察未見明顯凍害、流膠病和細(xì)菌性穿孔病。老果園需特別關(guān)注蛀干性害蟲防治。幼蟲階段,通過人工查找蟲洞或鋸屑痕跡,用注射器施藥并封口。成蟲期(果實成熟)無法用藥防治,可將菠菜葉浸泡毒死蜱后,用竹簽穿插在樹干旁,有效防止金龜子和象鼻蟲啃食嫩葉和果實。
