【摘要】英語(yǔ)學(xué)科核心素養(yǎng)的本質(zhì)就是要在培養(yǎng)學(xué)生聽、說、讀、寫等語(yǔ)言能力的同時(shí)注重培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的思維品格、文化品格和學(xué)習(xí)能力。本文就針對(duì)英語(yǔ)學(xué)科核心素養(yǎng)下的閱讀教學(xué),以高中英語(yǔ)教材人教版Great Scientists這一單元中John Snow Defeats“King Cholera”的閱讀文章為例,設(shè)計(jì)了教學(xué)過程。

The Teaching Design of Reading under the Direction of the Core quality of English Subject——Take Module5Unit1Reading Lesson as an Example

【Abstract】The essence of the core quality of English subject is to cultivate the students'language abilities such as listen‐ing,speaking,reading and writing,and at the same time pay attention to cultivate the students'thinking character,cultural character and learning ability.In this paper,according to English reading teaching under the core literacy,in high school English teaching materials are Great Scientists this unit"John Snow Defeats'King Cholera'reading articles,for example,design the teaching process.

學(xué)科核心素養(yǎng)是目前教育工作的中心任務(wù)和終極目標(biāo)。學(xué)科核心素養(yǎng)既包括學(xué)生的基本知識(shí)和技能,也包含學(xué)生的情感、態(tài)度、價(jià)值觀和學(xué)習(xí)能力。因此,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的學(xué)科核心素養(yǎng)離不開教師堅(jiān)持不懈的學(xué)習(xí)、探索、思考和總結(jié),更離不開教學(xué)操作的實(shí)踐支持。以高中英語(yǔ)教材人教版Module5Unit1Great Scientists這一單元中閱讀John Snow Defeats“King Cholera”為例,說明在教學(xué)中如何提升學(xué)生的聽說讀寫各個(gè)方面的語(yǔ)言能力;培養(yǎng)學(xué)生思維品質(zhì);激發(fā)學(xué)生文化品格;同時(shí)提升學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)能力。對(duì)于本單元的閱讀教學(xué),我的課堂教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)如下:
Step1Warming up by asking and discussing some questions.
Questions:
1.Have you ever caught a serious flu?
2.How did you feel then?
3.What do you think of and what do you decide to do in the future?
4.Have you ever heard SARS and do you feel scared when you hear it?
可以先讓學(xué)生分組討論他們是否曾經(jīng)感染過嚴(yán)重的感冒或者其他傳染???談?wù)勊麄兩眢w的感受和心里的感受。通過討論來(lái)提升學(xué)生的語(yǔ)言能力,了解他們面臨傳染病和對(duì)待傳染病的態(tài)度和情感。同時(shí)啟發(fā)他們通過學(xué)習(xí)調(diào)查和實(shí)踐來(lái)解決問題的思維品質(zhì),激發(fā)學(xué)生立志成為一名卓越的科學(xué)家或者醫(yī)生的愿望,以便將來(lái)更好地造福人類,造福社會(huì)。
Step2Fast-reading
經(jīng)過激烈而充分的討論,快速閱讀文章并且回答一些具體的問題,讓學(xué)生明白英國(guó)醫(yī)生John Snow在面對(duì)霍亂和他人的冷嘲熱諷時(shí)是迎難而上還是望而卻步,明白John Snow最終如何解決了這一難題并最終戰(zhàn)勝了這一災(zāi)難。通過對(duì)上述問題的解答和討論,要深刻地理解和明白不管在生活中還是人際交往中,又或是學(xué)習(xí)過程中,一旦遇到困難或者問題,我們一定要勇于面對(duì),勇于探索和調(diào)查,勇于研究和實(shí)踐,從而戰(zhàn)勝一切困難和麻煩,成為一名真正的勇士。
Step3Careful reading.
Now the students are asked to read the text the sec?ond time.They have to look for and underline the expres?sions within the passage as well as the topic sentence in each paragraph.
Answers:
Topic sentence of the text:it tells about John Snow and his fight against“King Cholera”.
Topic sentence of the1st paragraph:John Snow was a well-known doctor in London.
Topic sentence of the2nd paragraph:He got interest?ed in two theories explaining how cholera killed people.
Topic sentence of the3rd paragraph:He believed in the second theory but needed to prove he was correct.
Topic sentence of the4th paragraph:He looked into the source of the water.
Topic sentence of the5th paragraph:John Snow had shown that cholera was spread by germs.
Topic sentence of the6th paragraph:Finally“King cholera”was defeated.
這一步驟的主要目的在于讓學(xué)生在初步了解John Snow勇于面對(duì)困難和挑戰(zhàn),勇于探索的科學(xué)精神。通過詳細(xì)的閱讀和品味,讓學(xué)生深刻體會(huì)到科學(xué)研究需要有勇于探索的精神,實(shí)事求是的思維品質(zhì),詳細(xì)周密的研究過程,勇敢無(wú)畏的文化品格和探索推理的學(xué)習(xí)方法和學(xué)習(xí)能力。具備這些素養(yǎng),我們才能更好地造福人類,為社會(huì)做出我們應(yīng)有的貢獻(xiàn)。
總之,高中英語(yǔ)教材內(nèi)容包羅萬(wàn)象,題材靈活多變。但是形式和內(nèi)容的變化始終圍繞著一個(gè)永恒不變的主線和命脈,那就是英語(yǔ)學(xué)科的核心素養(yǎng)。我們要以不變應(yīng)萬(wàn)變,讓英語(yǔ)學(xué)科核心素養(yǎng)指引我們的教學(xué),認(rèn)真學(xué)習(xí),積極探索,及時(shí)總結(jié),廣泛交流,把教學(xué)轉(zhuǎn)變成教育,把教會(huì)轉(zhuǎn)變成會(huì)教,把學(xué)會(huì)轉(zhuǎn)變成會(huì)學(xué),讓學(xué)生終身受益。
