It was a Friday morning. I felt too lazy to drive my car, so my son booked[預(yù)訂]an Uber. In five minutes, the car arrived at our door. I just saw the cab number and got in. I was so busy searching for an important paper that I didn’t pay any attention to the driver, “Please be quick. I’m in a hurry.”

The voice came, “Yes, ma’am.”

I was surprised when I heard a female voice! I stopped my work and looked at the driver. The driver was a young lady. For the first time, I saw a lady driving an Uber—here in India!

The car was running on the national highway. She was driving perfectly well. I had travelled in Uber cars for hundreds of times, but never did I see a woman driver. So I was quite eager to know more about my driver and why she had chosen this job, “If you don’t mind, can I ask you some questions?”

“Yes, ma’am. No problem.”

“I guess you are well-educated?”

“Yes, ma’am. I have completed my MBA course.”

“Wow! So why did you choose this job, I mean, instead of going for a better career?”

I could see her face in the rearview mirror[后視鏡]. She smiled and said, “Since I was a child, driving has always been my passion[愛好], ma’am. No job is too small. I just want a career where I can get real satisfaction and fulfillment. I did get offers[錄用通知]from big companies, but I prefer this one—I can live my dream now! It’s well worth it.”

汽車在國道上飛馳，她有一手好車技。優(yōu)步的車我坐過幾百回了，但此前我還真沒遇到過女司機。因此我特別想了解一下這位司機，很想知道她為什么會選擇這份職業(yè)：“如果你不介意的話，我能問你幾個問題么？”

“好的，女士，沒問題?！?/p>

“我猜你受過高等教育？”

“是的，女士，我讀完工商管理碩士了?！?/p>

“哇，那你為什么會選這行呢——我的意思是，你怎么不找份更好的工作呢？”

我能從后視鏡里看到她的表情——只見她笑著回答道：“女士，我從小就喜歡開車。工作不分高低貴賤，我只想找這么一份工作，給自己帶來真正的滿足感和成就感。我確實收到了幾家大公司的錄用書，但我還是更喜歡當司機——我現(xiàn)在夢想成真了！這一切都是值得的?！?/p>
