On September 9th of this year， the result of an activity to select top 10 leisure destination for escaping the heat in Chongqing has been announced， and tourist resort of Qijiang was successfully selected，making it one of the top 10 leisure destination.

Qijiang， located in the north of Dalou Mountain in Chongqing， is praised as “the gate of the southern Chongqing” and “‘the hometown of Chinese farmers' print” and so on； besides， it's a potential new district for urban development in Chongqing. For this reason， Qijiang district is endeavoring to dig religious culture， Liao people culture， culture of dinosaurs，immigrant culture， the culture of the war of resistance against Japan and other non-material cultural heritage like drum instrument， the Kun Opera and prints and on on， to vigorously develop the cultural sports tourism products.

This year， Qijiang district has strived for project funds to mainly construct basic supporting facilities for rural tourism parks； rural tourism demonstration centered on “one round”in Yongcheng and “one line” in Longsheng Town also has been launched； some agricultural tourism activities focusing on marketing agricultural and sideline products such as pear f ower day， cherry day， kiwi day， strawberry picking day， shanti picking day. Allegedly， by 2020， Qijiang district will combine the creation of mountainous modern agriculture to reach the goal which ensures at least one has rural tourism garden with agricultural tourism integration among 18 sub-districts.

For example， we can plan to build traditional Chinese house for keeping in good health， cultural base of Chinese medicine and planting base of Chinese herb in Gujian tourist resort by paying special attention to the product development of traditional Chinese herb so as to build a demonstration project of Gujian Mountain leisure endowment； based on the construction mode of “tourist estate+ Chinese house for keeping in good health+ a place for old people” in Hengshan tourist resort， the project of endowment base in the resort will highlight the characteristics of Hengshan natural oxygen bar and summer holidays； using featured resource such as the mountain and lake as well as pastoral farming， it is possible to build a 8000-square-meter curing center integrating health maintenance and endowment for the old in Dingshan； Gaomiao traditional medicine spa in Guofu has been put in operation with investment of 2.6million yuan and an area of 1000 square meters. At that time， visitors can not only spend a holiday at the summer resort but preserve their health. And later some more social health caring services like massage and lavipeditum will be introduced successively.

lntegration of city and tourism for building a new Qijiang suitable for living and traveling

As part of the tertiary industry， the integration of industry and city can be achieved by another form—modern tourism drives urban development. Therefore， the integration of city and tourism can be very helpful to improve the city's function，motivate city economy and further promote transformation and upgrading of the industrial structure.

To this end， Qijiang district holds global tourism concept，insists on the combination of the urban construction and tourism development and makes efforts to build a developmentpattern of “all-regional tourism space， all-round tourist industry and all of tourists"， thus promoting the upgrading of city construction.

Relying on the existing landscape zone including Binhe corridor of clean government culture， Yingpan Mountain Park，Shaxi River Park， Qijiang is devoting its efforts to build a leisure belt-shaped park in the area of Tonghui River of eastern new town so as to enrich urban tourism products. And some city landmarks of buildings like Kaixuan Paradise Walk， Nanzhou Plaza， Dragon Plaza and Kowloon plaza have been completed and other new Landmarks such as Mia International Plaza，F(xiàn)uxing Star Plaza are also under the construction. According to the plan， Qijiang is expected to receive 6.8 million tourists in 2015 with comprehensive income up to 2.2 billion yuan. By 2016， it will strive to achieve one scenic spot of national 5-A level， one scenic spot of 4-A level， receiving 8 million tourists from home and abroad with comprehensive income up to 3 billion yuan. And by 2020， national tourist resort will be built in Qijiang district， and tourists at home and abroad will reach 15 million with comprehensive income up to 6.5 billion yuan. That's to say， the overall added value of tourism compared to the GRP will be more than 6%， and therefore，Qijiang definitely becomes a national famous destination of tourism..
