Review of Five Types of Simple Sentences

Teaching objectives：

By the end of this session， most students will be better able to use five types of the simple sentences correctly . This will be achieved by talking about my vacation and Ss’ vacations.

Leaning and teaching focus：

1.the chunks about the activities， feelings about my vacation and their vacations.

2.use five types of the simple sentences correctly.

3.Ss can sum up the structures of five types of the simple sentences after talking about a certain situation one by one.

Anticipated difficulties：

It will be difficult for students to talk about主謂賓賓補(bǔ) and主謂雙賓. Also， students will find it hard to search more words to talk about such a topic.

Solutions： To set up different tasks with information gap to help students get information by asking questions.

Teaching stages：

Stage I Talk about spring

Since it’s spring， teacher can encourage Ss to say more about the weather， the air， the sun， the butterfly， the grass and the picture about spring.

Stage 2 Talk about Activities during a vacation

T： Spring is a good season to take a vacation.1. What do people usually do during a vacation？

Show 4 pictures and ask Ss to talk about them. 2. After that， ask Ss what they usually do during a vacation. At the same time， ask two Ss to write their answers on the board. Then let Ss summarize the structure ： 主謂賓.（學(xué)生通過(guò)談?wù)摷偃盏幕顒?dòng)，正確運(yùn)用主謂賓或主謂結(jié)構(gòu)的句子，引導(dǎo)學(xué)生自己發(fā)現(xiàn)和歸納這種簡(jiǎn)單句的結(jié)構(gòu)）

Stage 3 Talk about things they buy

T： For me， I usually buy some post cards for my friends. I usually buy my parents some local food. What about you？ Then talk about teacher’s childhood. 1.Ask Ss to read these sentences together. Then let them say them in another way. 2.Let Ss summarize the structure.（通過(guò)學(xué)生在假期中買(mǎi)東西和教師分享自己過(guò)去假期中的經(jīng)歷，引導(dǎo)學(xué)生運(yùn)用含有buy＼make＼tell＼ show雙賓結(jié)構(gòu)的句子，學(xué)生自己學(xué)會(huì)歸納，加深對(duì)這種簡(jiǎn)單句的理解）

Stage4 Talk about your feeling after a vacation.

1、T： After a vacation， I find people there friendly. The hotel makes comfortable.

Ask Ss to talk about the feeling after the teacher’s demonstration with the help of the mind-map .I find_____ _______. The ____ makes me _______Then ask Ss to summarize the structure.

2、After they compare the two structures， teacher points to the sentence leads in： The hotel makes me comfortable. Another way of saying： The hotel looks comfortable.（on the board）

T： So what do you think of these things about vacation？ …Then let Ss summarize it.

（賓語(yǔ)補(bǔ)足語(yǔ)是一大難點(diǎn)，教師通過(guò)話題，來(lái)引導(dǎo)學(xué)生正確使用賓語(yǔ)補(bǔ)足語(yǔ)，同時(shí)也通過(guò)板書(shū)句子并與雙賓進(jìn)行對(duì)比，讓學(xué)生能更清楚的理解這幾種句式的結(jié)構(gòu)）

Stage5 Talk about my coming vacation

1. Provide an uncompleted passage for Ss to complete it. Ask Ss to use five types of simple sentences correctly. First write down on the paper .Write a passage about the coming vacation. If it can’t be finished， do it as homework.（提供半開(kāi)放的不完整語(yǔ)篇到寫(xiě)出完整的語(yǔ)篇練習(xí)，讓學(xué)生能再次運(yùn)用所學(xué)的簡(jiǎn)單句去完成語(yǔ)篇，能更好地幫助學(xué)生在作文中正確運(yùn)用）
