《地球停轉(zhuǎn)日》（1951）故事梗概：克拉圖來自一個超越人類文明的星球，作為一名使者他乘坐一艘宇宙飛船降落在華盛頓，在機(jī)器人戈特的陪同下到地球來阻止人類制造原子武器。因為原子武器會造成人類的滅絕。地球人不但不聽他的勸說，反而向他開槍，戈特想要反擊，但被克拉圖攔住了，地球人把他關(guān)進(jìn)了監(jiān)獄，他逃走并藏了起來。最后他為了人類醒悟，展示了他的力量——他使地球上所有的電器都癱瘓了。
