Extreme Sports Heat up the Olympics走進(jìn)奧運(yùn)會(huì)極限運(yùn)動(dòng)

Watching the Olympics is exciting. At the 2024 Paris Olympics（2024年巴黎奧運(yùn)會(huì)）， we’ve seen four extreme sports（極限運(yùn)動(dòng)）. They are BMX riding（小輪車比賽）， rock climbing（攀巖）， surfing（沖浪） and skateboarding（滑板）. What do you know about them？ Let’s take a look！

Bicycle Motocross（小輪車，簡(jiǎn)稱BMX） started in the US. Riders（騎手們） control（控制） bikes on a course（賽道） with ramps and obstacles（坡道和障礙物）. They jump high， turn fast and even spin（快速旋轉(zhuǎn)） and flip（空翻） in the air.

巴黎奧運(yùn)會(huì)自由式小輪車女子公園賽（women’s BMX freestyle park competition）決賽中，18歲的中國(guó)選手鄧雅文戰(zhàn)勝了4屆世錦賽冠軍美國(guó)名將漢娜，奪得該項(xiàng)目中國(guó)歷史首金。

Rock climbing is an exciting sport. Climbers have to climb a 15-meter-high wall. They use a harness（安全帶） to stay（保持） safe. The world record for men is 4.74 seconds（秒）. For women， the record is 6.06 seconds. How fast！

巴黎奧運(yùn)會(huì)女子速度攀巖決賽中，中國(guó)選手鄧麗娟以6.18秒的個(gè)人最好成績(jī)獲得銀牌，這也是中國(guó)隊(duì)在攀巖項(xiàng)目上首次奪得奧運(yùn)會(huì)獎(jiǎng)牌。

Skateboarding is a new and cool sport at the Paris Olympics. Good skateboarders can jump high in the air. They can also go down stairs（階梯） on their boards. It’s fun and shows a lot of creativity（創(chuàng)造力） and styles（風(fēng)格）.

巴黎奧運(yùn)會(huì)滑板女子街式賽（women’s street skateboarding）決賽中，14歲中國(guó)小將崔宸曦奪得第四，創(chuàng)下中國(guó)隊(duì)在奧運(yùn)會(huì)滑板項(xiàng)目上的歷史最好名次。

Surfing is the most popular water sport in the world. Surfers（沖浪者） take their boards to the sea. They wait for waves（海浪）. When a wave comes， they will stand on their boards to ride the wave， show their skills（技巧）. They ride the waves with balance（平衡）. Surfing is not only about skills but also about connecting（連接） with the ocean（海洋）. Each wave brings a new challenge（挑戰(zhàn)）.

中國(guó)隊(duì)選手楊思琪在2024巴黎奧運(yùn)會(huì)女子沖浪第二輪比賽中獲勝，晉級(jí)16強(qiáng)。作為中國(guó)首位參加奧運(yùn)會(huì)沖浪項(xiàng)目的運(yùn)動(dòng)員，這位來(lái)自四川涼山年僅15歲的中國(guó)姑娘，也是奧運(yùn)沖浪項(xiàng)目中最年輕的選手。

Do you like extreme sports？ They are good for your health. But they can be dangerous too.You could easily get hurt（受傷）. Be careful！ There are some ways to keep safe.
