Ministry of Natural Resources: To Enhance Policy Support for Investment in Mining and Prosperity of Mining Market

In mid-April, Ministry of Natural Resources convened a symposium to listen to opinions and suggestions from academicians and experts from central-managing geological exploration units and geological and mineral fields on organizing and carrying out a new round of strategic action for mining breakthrough. The Minister of Ministry of Natural Resources, Wang Guanghua moderated the symposium and presented a speech. After listening to the opinions and suggestions, Wang Guanghua pointed out that in order to safeguard national mineral resource security and promote economic and social development and improve people’s livelihood, it is necessary to carry out a new round of strategic action for mining breakthrough and enhance prospecting and development of domestic mineral resources and increase reserves and production. Firstly, to further strengthen sense of mission, sense of responsibility and sense of urgency of getting devoted to the new round of strategic action for mining breakthrough, and central-managing geological exploration units should play a leading and exemplary role in the cause of geological prospecting. Secondly, to make efforts to construct a favorable policy environment, to enhance policy support for investment in mining and prosperity of mining market. Thirdly, to consolidate the basic guarantee and technical support for mine prospecting and development; based on major scientific and technological projects, to promote innovations in mineral exploration theory, make breakthroughs in bottleneck technologies, and advance university-industry cooperation. Ministry of Natural Resources will fully study and incorporate related opinions to make every effort to construct a favorable development environment and innovation atmosphere so as to continuously facilitate prospecting breakthrough.
