From November 3rdto 26th, the Philippines Contemporary Art Group Exhibition was held in Chongqing. The event was cohosted by the Philippine Consulate-General in Chongqing,Chongqing International Cultural Exchange Center, and VA Galleries,and supported by the Foreign Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, and Yuzhong District Government.Attending the opening ceremony were Mayo, Consul-General of the Philippines in Chongqing, Li Mingquan, Deputy Director-General of Chongqing FAO, Qin Dingbo, Deputy Director-General of Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, Zhang Yuanhong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yuzhong District Committee,and some foreign consular officials in Chongqing.
11月3日至26日,由菲律賓駐重慶總領(lǐng)事館、重慶國際文化交流中心和維岸畫廊共同主辦,市政府外辦、市文化旅游委、渝中區(qū)政府支持的“賓紛意猶未盡”菲律賓當(dāng)代藝術(shù)群展在渝成功舉辦。菲律賓駐重慶總領(lǐng)事瑪友,市政府外辦副主任李明全、市文化旅游委副主任秦定波、渝中區(qū)委副書記張遠(yuǎn)洪,以及部分外國駐渝領(lǐng)事官員出席開幕式。
The Philippines Contemporary Art Group Exhibition Kicking off in Chongqing on November 3rd 11月3日,“賓紛意猶未盡”菲律賓當(dāng)代藝術(shù)群展在渝開幕。
“菲律賓當(dāng)代藝術(shù)始終保持著獨(dú)有的步調(diào),隨著社會(huì)發(fā)展進(jìn)程并行前進(jìn),也在全球化的平臺(tái)上為世界提供一種獨(dú)特的聲音。”菲律賓駐重慶總領(lǐng)事瑪友介紹,該展作為菲律賓文化藝術(shù)月活動(dòng)的一部分,以“賓紛意猶未盡”為主題,共展出11位菲律賓藝術(shù)家的58件作品,展示菲律賓多元文化內(nèi)容,希望讓公眾感受不同國家的文化藝術(shù),進(jìn)一步拉近菲中人民間的友誼。
“Philippine contemporary art has always maintained a distinctive style and is evolving in tandem with social development, offering a unique voice for the world via a global platform,” according to Mayo, Consul-General of the Philippines in Chongqing, the exhibition is part of the events during Philippine Culture and Art Month. Themed “Experiencing the Philippines’ Artistic Charm”,the exhibition features 58 works by 11 Filipino artists, displaying the diverse Philippine culture in an effort to allow the public to experience international culture and arts and bring the people of the Philippines and China closer.
Li Mingquan, Deputy Director-General of Chongqing FAO, stated that“China and the Philippines are close to each other geographically and intimate in their people-to-people bonds, and enjoy similar cultural backgrounds.Together with amity between our peoples, we share a unique advantage in exchanges and mutual learning.” The art and culture of the Philippines are magnificent, boasting a wide range of exhibits that are well-known internationally. He hoped that those involved in the arts and culture would continue to engage in in-depth and high-level dialogues and exchanges while maintaining mutual learning, which would enhance their mutual understanding and strengthen the bonds of amity and affinity between our peoples.
The Philippines, an archipelagic country with a long history, is one of the most vibrant art markets in Southeast Asia. Although the exhibition could not give a full picture of Philippine contemporary art, curator Vincent Deng noted that through these works of art, the public could still enrich their understanding of Philippine contemporary art, which is brimming with vitality. He also encouraged the public to experience the colorful Filipino culture through varied artistic expressions.

菲律賓是東南亞最活躍的藝術(shù)市場(chǎng)之一,同時(shí)是擁有悠久歷史的群島國家。策展人鄧良軍稱,此次展覽雖然不能完全呈現(xiàn)菲律賓當(dāng)代藝術(shù)的全貌,但是希望透過這些藝術(shù)作品,讓公眾看到充滿活力的菲律賓當(dāng)代藝術(shù),也希望通過各種藝術(shù)表達(dá)體驗(yàn)豐富多彩的菲律賓文化。
