【焦點(diǎn)一】marry用作及物動詞

1. marry意為“（和某人）結(jié)婚;嫁;娶”。例如：

She married her husband three years ago. 她是3年前和她丈夫結(jié)婚的。

The famous actress married a Frenchman. 這位著名的女演員嫁給了一個(gè)法國人。

My brother married the daughter of a teacher. 我的哥哥娶了一位教師的女兒。

It’s said that they were married before liberation. 據(jù)說他們是新中國成立前結(jié)的婚。

2. marry意為“給（兒子）娶媳婦”或“把（女兒）嫁給某人”，句子的主語通常為家長。例如：

3. marry意為“為……證婚;為……主持婚禮”，句子的主語通常為牧師、神父、家長等。例如：

1. marry意為“結(jié)婚”，需用主動語態(tài)，常與一些副詞或時(shí)間狀語連用。例如：

Did he marry early or late？ 他結(jié)婚早還是晚？

They are going to marry next week. 他們將在下周結(jié)婚。

The young couple married in 2015. 那對年輕夫婦在2015年結(jié)了婚。

She didn’t marry until she was over forty. 她直到40多歲時(shí)才結(jié)婚。

The girl married into a rich family. 那個(gè)女孩嫁到了有錢的人家。

2. get married （to sb） 意為“與……結(jié)婚;嫁給……”，不能與表示一段時(shí)間的狀語連用。例如：

Have you got married？ 你結(jié)婚了嗎？

They didn’t get married until thirty-five. 他們倆直到35歲才結(jié)婚。

The young couple have fallen in love with each other for years and will get married next month.

這對年輕人相愛多年，將于下個(gè)月結(jié)婚。

Anna plans to get married to her boyfriend in September. 安娜計(jì)劃9月和她的男朋友結(jié)婚。

Miss Li has got married to a doctor. 李小姐嫁給了一位醫(yī)生。

3. be married （to sb） 意為“與……結(jié)婚;嫁給……”，可與表示一段時(shí)間的狀語連用。例如：

Are you married？ 你結(jié)婚了嗎？

My parents have been married for more than twenty years. 我的父母結(jié)婚已經(jīng)20多年了。

She was married to a foreigner， but has no children. 她嫁給了一個(gè)外國人，但還沒有生孩子。

【焦點(diǎn)三】使用marry的注意事項(xiàng)

1. marry用作及物動詞時(shí)，后面直接跟賓語，不能與with連用，即用“A marry B”句式。例如：

譯：他想要與愛麗絲結(jié)婚，但是她嫁給了別人。

（×） He wanted to marry with Alice， but she married someone else.

（√） He wanted to marry Alice， but she married someone else.

2. marry為短暫性動詞，其肯定式不能與表示一段時(shí)間的狀語連用。若要表示“結(jié)婚多長時(shí)間了”，要用系表結(jié)構(gòu)be married或It is ... since句式。例如：

譯：他們結(jié)婚已經(jīng)5年了。

（×） They have married for five years.

（√） They married five years ago.

（√） They were married five years ago.

（√） They got married five years ago.

（√） They have been married for five years.

（√） It is / has been five years since they got married.
