水圍檸盟人才公寓位于深圳中心區(qū)的水圍村，規(guī)劃面積約8000m2，共35棟統(tǒng)建農(nóng)民樓，其中的29棟改造為504間人才公寓。改造設(shè)計(jì)保持了原有的城市肌理、建筑結(jié)構(gòu)及城中村特色的空間尺度；通過(guò)提升消防、市政配套設(shè)施電梯，增加將整個(gè)公寓連成一體的空中連廊、標(biāo)志性的屋頂花園、社區(qū)青年之家以及戶型改造，使握手樓成為符合現(xiàn)代標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的宜居空間。

我們關(guān)注的不僅是將農(nóng)民房進(jìn)行內(nèi)部升級(jí)裝修成為504間人才公寓，更在于如何將住在這504間公寓里的900名青年聯(lián)系在一起，創(chuàng)建一個(gè)社區(qū)，為老村注入新的生命力、新的價(jià)值；并探討通過(guò)舊建筑和新文化的結(jié)合，創(chuàng)造一個(gè)平臺(tái)，引發(fā)新舊社區(qū)居民自身的參與與交融，活化老社區(qū)。通過(guò)本項(xiàng)目，思考城中村下一個(gè)時(shí)代的使命，“不推倒重來(lái)”的改造也是一個(gè)值得考慮的、嚴(yán)肅而有趣的選擇。

In a bid to retain talents, Shenzhen created an affordable housing program to ease the housing pressure. Compared to other affordable housing developments, this project is the first one of its kind. It is the first time the government leased property from the villagers, in this case an ensemble of 35 "handshake tower blocks" to be converted into affordable housing. And in the past decade, urban renewal concerning urban villages means mass demolition, a total eradication from any trace from the past, replaced by brand new complexes with malls, offices and residential.

What makes this project so special is the opportunity to give the "handshake tower blocks"a second life and to create awareness that re-use of buildings is also a serious and interesting option to be considered.
