Abstract: The traditional family mottoes in Guangfu region feature industry and thrift, the pursuit of knowledge of practical use to society, and practicality and flexibility, which are prominent local characteristics and are a product of the openness and inclusiveness of the area, rooted in the Guangfu culture with the characteristics of being being business-friendly and all-embracing, and of daring to be the first and keeping up with the times. Throughout the lineage formation and the development of clan culture, the traditional family mottoes played a very important role in promoting the formation of folk customs and cultural character in the region.

Abstract: Quanzhou was the starting point and an important birthplace of the Maritime Silk Road. The "One Belt And One Road" initiative has created new opportunities for the promotion and dissemination of Quanzhou’s intangible cultural heritage. It is necessary to integrate various social forces to promote the digital dissemination of the Intangible cultural heritage, place great importance on the development of related derivative products to expand the application space and the scope of dissemination, make use of "Intangible Cultural Heritage dissemination + cultural tourism" model to explore the profound cultural connotation of Quanzhou’s Intangible cultural heritage, build a cultural tourism brand with the Maritime Silk Road cultural heritage as the core, and forge a professional marketing team to strengthen the effectiveness of new media communication to enable Quanzhou’s cultural heritage brand to “go out”.

Abstract: The “Way of Heaven” and “Way of Humanity” are important contents of Chen Baisha’s study of the mind. The “Way of Heaven” is about the nature and its law of operation. It emphasizes that qi is the material element that constitutes the universe and It governs the movement and change of qi. Meanwhile, Tao or Way is the noumenon of all things beyond “Way of Heaven”. The mind is derived from “Tao” (Way) and they can integrate. The Way of Humanity (Holy Way) embodies the essence and law of human society. It is is people-oriented and the essence of human beings is morality and idealism. At the same time, the Way of Humanity also contains people’s social responsibility and historical missions.

Abstract: Chen Xianzhang, a pioneer of the study of the mind in the Ming Dynasty and a reputed “Pure Confucian scholar”, inherited the traditional Confucian thought on his path of pursuing learning and sagehood, and was influenced by Taoism and Buddhism. On this basis, Chen Xianzhang advocated meditation so that the mind could be empty and would not be impeded. Then the mind would be “empty, clear and quiet” and be enlightened and the meditator would achieve self-cultivation. Chen Xianzhang advocated meditation to cultivate the inner source of good and achieve the convergence of the mind and the principle in order to make the mind grand and being at ease and achieve sagehood.

Abstract: Wu Jianren was a famous novelist and an outstanding poet. His status as a poet has long been obscured by his reputation as a novelist. Wu Jianren focused on poetry composition in his early life and continued to write poetry in his middle and later years and made great achievements in poetry creation. His existing poems are mainly found in Wu Jianren’s Complete Works,WuJianren’sLostPoemsandZiLinShanghaiNews. Wu Jianren’s poems have multiple value in recording his life, friendship and acquaintances, and deeds, revealing his inner world and unique character, and adding interest and charm to his novels.

Abstract: In 1943, the famous artist Xu Beihong in his paper “Review and Prospects of the New Art Movement”mentioned Li Tiefu drinking tea to pass his time. The paper did not detail the specific circumstances but Huang Dade said it was no more than going to an ordinary eatery to have snack food to fill the stomach. He was just struggling on the brink of death like a beggar dressed in a suit. This paper investigates the background of Wuyi people venturing abroad in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China period, the tea drinking habit of Guangfu people and the existing records of Li Tiefu’s life to further explore the phenomenon of popular tea drinking in the region after Li Tiefu returned to China from the US.

Abstract: In the process of narrative writing, the writers of biographers in the Wei, Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties used various writing strategies cleverly and skillfully. They adopted not only the traditional methods of auxiliary biographies and mentioning of figures in passing, but also many distinctive writing strategies which not only saved space and simplified their writing, but also made the writing flexible and varied so as to present the charm of the protagonists of the biographies and enhance the literary appeal of the biographies from multiple angles and in three dimensions.

Abstract: With the large-scale development of Shatin area in the Pearl River Delta in the Qing Dynasty and of Guangzhou port for foreign trade in the reign period of Qianlong emperor, the economy of Guangzhou prefecture developed rapidly and its cultural and educational causes prospered, and a large number of calligraphy and painting talents emerged. But due to the differences in geographical position and the uneven economic and cultural development of the 14 counties under Guangzhou prefecture, there was also a marked difference in the regional distribution of calligraphy and painting talents. An exploration of the differences and the causes is of important reference value in understanding the tradition of painting and calligraphy art, the path of educating and cultivating related talents, and cultural development in various counties under the prefecture.

Abstract: Based on the existing lacquer art in Guangzhou, Yangjiang, Chaoshan and other regions, and in combination with intangible cultural heritage theory, folk art studies, semiotics and the related theories of creation design, the construction of the relationship between “style”, “l(fā)ogic” and “appropriateness” in Lingnan lacquer art is proposed. Through the analysis of the characteristics of Lingnan lacquer art in terms of shape, color, decoration, craftsmanship, and material, its creation design ideas are summarized featuring inclusiveness, integration of principle and utensils, and the pursuit of perfection. Furthermore, it is further pointed out that Lingnan’s lacquer art creation design thought gradually developed by integrating the Confucian culture from the Central Plains and local culture, and absorbed other overseas cultural elements, and continues to develop and provide new cultural nutrients and ideological source for today’s innovation of traditional handicraft and modern art design.

Abstract: Chaoshan Charity Hall was a traditional private charity organization with distinctive local cultural characteristics. In modern times, the development of Chaoshan’s shipping industry was stimulated by trade and migration, but due to the geographical and climate conditions, backward science and technology development, poor management and other factors, shipwreck accidents frequently occurred. In the process of shipwreck rescue, the charity hall played an important role in organizing the rescue of the wounded, providing materials and funds, and salvaging drowned bodies. In post-accident handling, it also was a mediator between the government and the victims and became an important part of social governance.These changes in functions and roles reflected the social transformation of the traditional charitable organizations.

Abstract: Under the present circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, the mode of “shared employees” has developed rapidly. The paper holds that this mode has positive significance for the rural industrial clusters which are in the chronic state of “l(fā)abor shortage”. An analysis of the positive influences of and obstacles in the normalization of the “shared employees” mode in rural industrial clusters reveals that in order to normalize the mode, information exchange channels, employee incentive mechanism and relevant policies should be innovated.

Abstract: Based on the Social Cognitive Theory, this study investigated 174 employees of 10 enterprises in Guangzhou A Industrial Park by means of questionnaire, interview and observation. It is found that more than 80% of the respondents’ self-efficacy in the park is lower than the average. The reason is that with the continuous upgrading of the park industry, employees are increasingly insufficient in working skills required for their new posts, i.g., the increase of online business highlights the lack of computer operation skills of employees and the lack of guidance and encouragement for them from superiors. It is suggested that enterprises help employees master job skills matching their positions and provide online business training and psychological counseling to help them develop lifelong learning habits. Managers should strengthen career guidance and recognize and reward employees in order to achieve a win-win situation.

Abstract: The industrial-urban-rural integration is the direction of balanced development of urban and rural areas and high-quality development of cities and industries in the new economic normal. Based on the panel data of 9 cities in the Pearl River Delta from 2008 to 2018, the DEA-CCR and Malmquist indexes are used to analyze the input and output efficiency of the industrial-urban-rural integration from both static and dynamic perspectives. The results show that the comprehensive efficiency and total factor productivity of the nine cities in the Pearl River Delta are on the decline, and the main reason is the technology retrogression. A projection analysis of Huizhou shows there is much room for improvement in indicators such as average GDP, population distribution density, the reform of village community to resident community, urbanization rate, and the participation rate of urban and rural endowment insurance.

Abstract：Based on Guangdong’s statistical data from 1995 to 2018, this paper constructs a VAR model of the relationship between scientific and technological innovation & agricultural mechanization and agricultural economy, and uses the Granger causality test and impulse analysis to study the impact of scientific and technological innovation and agricultural mechanization on agricultural economic growth. The results show that the innovation level has a long-term positive impact on the agricultural economic growth of Guangdong, and the innovation investment has a short-term positive impact, while the agricultural mechanization level has a short-term negative impact on the agricultural economic growth. Based on the research conclusions of the paper, it is suggested that input of agricultural research funds should be increased to promote research in and development of agricultural science and technology and improve the mechanization and specialization level of Guangdong’s agriculture.

Abstract: The theory of the purpose of punishment has evolved from the retribution theory to the prevention theory. It is difficult to make a comprehensive explanation of the justification of punishment by a single theory of the purpose of punishment, and the comprehensive theory fails to solve the contradiction between retributivism and utilitarianism from a simple point of view. The significance of the purpose of punishment lies in its expression, which is both retrospective and forward-looking and can be directed to the specific subject of the crime as well as to the non-specific public. Through this framework, different functions of penalty are realized to different subjects at different stages.

In the process of replication and transmission, slow change and mutation coexist in the semantics ofShuichui, and the usage context also shows a tendency toward enlargement. Partial semantic variation of the memeShichuiand the meme variation caused by the host’s emotional change put it in slow change, and decategorization leads to its mutation. The prominence of longevity, fertility and fidelity of reproduction makes it a powerful word meme; the natural law, the need of the meme’s self-propagation and the lack of authoritative regulations and guidance put it in dynamic categorization.

Abstract: From the perspective of communication, the translation of culture-loaded words used in Lingnan region can be viewed as a kind of cross-language and cross-cultural communication. Therefore, the translation of such words should follow the law of communication. Based on the open system of communication, the reliability and validity of communication information can serve as two criteria to evaluate the translation of the culture-loaded words. Through an evaluative empirical study of the translation of culture-loaded words used in Lingnan region on government websites, this paper demonstrates the applicability of these two criteria in the practice of translating such words.
