The tower’s dynamic massing is nautical in nature–reminiscent of a schooner running under full sail–while at the ground level, its lobby encompasses a rich palette of locally-sourced, Brazilian materials.
Infinity Tower’s “sails” wrap each level with two sweeping curves of glass, highlighted by exterior brise soleil fins that control sunlight and glare. The design team employed a rigorous design process influenced by the availability of local materials, collaborating with S?o Paulo-based contractor Aflalo & Gasperini to marry innovation with quality control. The curvature of Infinity Tower’s facade enhances the office workspaces with a variety of floor plates and broad panoramas of the city, while shaded private balconies housed within the glass facade on each floor afford tenants dramatic views of Avenida Paulista to the north and Faria Lima to the south.
At its base, Infinity Tower engages with its urban context through an indoor-outdoor entry experience that benefits from S?o Paulo’s temperate climate and offers a quiet transition from the world’s sixth most populous city. A subtle tapestry of reflecting pools, shaded walkways, landscaped areas and a canopy-covered porte-cochere lead to the building’s main lobby, which is surrounded by water and accessible by two bridges. A high, curving glass wall, carefully selected Brazilian granites and Cumaru wood define the lobby’s graceful disposition. Infinity Tower’s design encourages an intimate relationship between occupants and architecture, inviting human interaction with its deep wood tones, serene water, rich stone, and curving glass.
