試以古體詩(shī)形式翻譯歌詞

詩(shī)與歌，從來(lái)都是關(guān)系緊密，不可分割。《詩(shī)·大序》曰：“詩(shī)者，志之所之也。在心為志，發(fā)言為詩(shī)，情動(dòng)于中而形于言。言之不足，故嗟嘆之。嗟嘆之不足，故詠歌之。詠歌之不足，不知手之舞之足之蹈之也。”從《詩(shī)經(jīng)》到唐詩(shī)宋詞元曲，或詩(shī)為曲而作，或曲中有詩(shī)歌。

今天的流行歌曲，也常常會(huì)直接采用或間接借鑒詩(shī)歌來(lái)作為歌詞，如鄧麗君的《虞美人》、毛寧的《濤聲依舊》等即是如此。而當(dāng)代英文歌曲也不乏歌詞優(yōu)美、極具詩(shī)歌韻味的例子。愛(ài)爾蘭著名樂(lè)隊(duì)Westlife 的《Seasons in the Sun》就是這樣一首歌。這首歌最初版本是法國(guó)歌手Jaques Brel發(fā)表于1961年的《Le moribond》（將死之人）。這首歌曲旋律輕快，但基調(diào)悲傷，歌詞內(nèi)容讓人傷感。其歌詞經(jīng)歷了多次再創(chuàng)造的不斷的改編，行成了現(xiàn)今的英文版。

筆者很喜歡Westlife的作品，同時(shí)也熱愛(ài)中國(guó)詩(shī)歌。一次聽(tīng)罷《Seasons in the Sun》，深受觸動(dòng)，于是將其歌詞試譯為五言古體詩(shī)。譯作五言詩(shī)顧及了歌詞“詩(shī)”的屬性，但很大程度上丟掉了其“歌”的屬性。作為一次嘗試性的翻譯，希望可以借此拓寬我們翻譯材料的來(lái)源，也希望能引起更多譯者對(duì)歌詞翻譯的興趣。
