Xu Peijin won the design award for the special gift dedicated to Chinese sports delegation who attended the 24th Olympics in Seoul, South Korea in 1988. At that time, he didnt expect that he would step into the stage of Chinese landscape paintings from the areana of design, not to mention the outstanding achievements he gained today. Many of his artworks are characterized by Chinese Zen sense and collected by famous museums. Appreciating his artworks, you can feel his philosophy of life.
1988年,當(dāng)即將從浙江美院工藝系畢業(yè)的徐佩瑾,攬獲第24屆漢城奧運(yùn)會(huì)中國(guó)體育代表團(tuán)專用禮品設(shè)計(jì)大獎(jiǎng)時(shí),他也許沒(méi)有想過(guò),日后會(huì)踏上一條相較設(shè)計(jì)更為自我的山水繪畫之路。
中國(guó)畫與其他兄弟造型藝種,存在著皮相近似而本質(zhì)疏離的界限,我觀佩瑾數(shù)年畫作,感覺(jué)畫里流露出來(lái)的智慧。他的寫生稿本中,有摹大明山奇松峻柏者,行筆飛揚(yáng),滿幅華彩,足見(jiàn)其勾陳功夫。他卻自忖造姿為勝,若石濤所指:名山許游未許畫,畫若似之山必怪。不必急于示人,乃藏之畫匧,有力而弱,有能不矜,或能廢貪忘癡,直取中道。
也因之如是,當(dāng)聽(tīng)說(shuō)徐佩瑾開(kāi)始選擇禪境山水作為母題時(shí),我覺(jué)得他找到了一個(gè)自適的修煉道場(chǎng)。 黃山谷曾云:天下清景,不擇賢愚而與之,然吾特疑端為我輩設(shè)。長(zhǎng)期世俗化的技法盤摩以及景觀化的寺院游歷,使得當(dāng)代畫人在表達(dá)禪意時(shí),容易耽于手眼,著其實(shí)相。從這個(gè)意義上來(lái)說(shuō),畫上欲得禪意,亦須通會(huì)蘊(yùn)含著變通智慧的禪宗之基底。如參話頭及八萬(wàn)四千法門之說(shuō),修行之法既因人而異,圖繪之事若之。《金剛經(jīng)》有云:莊嚴(yán)佛土者,即非莊嚴(yán),是名莊嚴(yán),所言眾生者,即非眾生,是名眾生。
徐佩瑾的系列作品,如果能多看幾幅,會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn)他更注重虛寫。如僧侶往往不事五官,純?nèi)缂粲?;景物大多用破墨點(diǎn)染,有些揮灑到極致處,生法無(wú)定相之意,云影天光,真趣彌漫;虛空舞蹈,如樂(lè)如歌。高度概括的造型與果斷留空的構(gòu)成背后,是他中年歷練與自省之深度積淀。品禪畫的味道大概最好是此中有真意,欲辨已忘言?!叭胗谌苏咧辽睿杏谑酪灿葟V”,王國(guó)維此語(yǔ),可以視作人文學(xué)者的每個(gè)實(shí)踐節(jié)點(diǎn)上,有所成就與有所缺憾的基礎(chǔ)動(dòng)因。我相信佩瑾在這個(gè)題材上面,如果保持起步時(shí)的初心,還能得到持續(xù)的純化和創(chuàng)見(jiàn)。
目佩瑾筆下人物,并非天生沙彌,凡人遁入空門,求清凈求解脫求法求學(xué)者皆有之,如我輩之習(xí)繪術(shù),均有所求而致。余謂畫法之于畫學(xué),猶佛法之于佛學(xué),法與學(xué)的門徑差池,除了身份的不同,還在于法貴精專而學(xué)尚博約,故求法者有時(shí)會(huì)精進(jìn)到一葉障目,不易變通;而治學(xué)者容易迷戀解釋,太過(guò)圓融,則失之于寬,此處的寬,不是寬容,是寬泛。故此,我們面對(duì)不大熟悉的作者和作品,假使能暫時(shí)擱置經(jīng)驗(yàn)性的視覺(jué)桎梏,虛其懷抱,更多依賴觀看的直覺(jué)反應(yīng),靜故了群動(dòng),空故納萬(wàn)境,也許可以讓作者隱藏于畫面中的意味更多呈現(xiàn)。此際,有如荷爾德林的詩(shī)句中所述:一旦外表被極度隔絕,適應(yīng)性便在人之中彰顯。
這也是我在欣賞佩瑾作品時(shí)的一點(diǎn)領(lǐng)悟。
Xu Peijin, Chinese senior craft artist, was born in Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province and graduated from the senior class of landscape paintings in China Academy of Art. Now he is a guest professor of China Academy of Art, researcher of Zhejiang Modern Chinese Painting Institute, member of Hangzhou Artists Association, member of Council of Zhejiang Arts and Crafts Society, etc. He has participated in various exhibitions and won grand prizes.
徐佩瑾,浙江紹興人,高級(jí)工藝美術(shù)師,曾致力于平面設(shè)計(jì),畢業(yè)于中國(guó)美術(shù)學(xué)院山水畫高級(jí)研究班。作品多次獲獎(jiǎng)并被多家機(jī)構(gòu)收藏。曾在杭州、紹興、長(zhǎng)興等地多次舉辦個(gè)人畫展,編有多本個(gè)人專輯。
