Many people associate crying with weakness. If a person easily breaks down, it gives the 16 that the person is soft and can easily be overpowered. But many do not know that tears have a purpose. It has a 17 after effect on a person that can give comfort and strength to 18 any negative feeling or depression.
People cry for a reason. You may cry because you are too happy or too sad or very angry. Letting your tears flow freely gives you a sense of 19 to be true to your feelings and to yourself. After a while you will feel that you somehow feel a bit better. Your tears become a form of 24 when problems become too much for us to bear.
In my opinion, people who are not afraid to cry 25 are stronger than those who hold back the tears for later. If the reason for crying is 26 and your emotions are very strong, you have no reason to be ashamed.
Tears can make you 27 in a way. When faced with a problem, people who hold back their tears tend to constantly worry and stress about the problem and fail to see the 28 right away. This makes them more prone to weakness and to more mistakes. These people may 29 strong because they hide what they truly feel. But the truth is, all the pretensions make them a weaker person.
On the other hand, people who openly 30 themselves to cry, whether in public or in private get to release their 31 emotions much sooner than those who are ashamed to do so. After crying, these people feel more calm and can then begin to think straight. 32 the negative thoughts and emotions have been reduced, they can see things 33 and can easily think of ways to solve the problem.

Do not be afraid to express what you truly feel. 34 is letting your natural reactions out without any fear or embarrassment. You are simply being true to your heart and to yourself. Your true strength is using your tears to easily 35 your moment of suffering. Now that is the power of tears.

An agreement between Chinese and British copyright agencies was signed in Beijing on Tuesday, which places Chinese written works under the umbrella against copyright violation in Britain.
As the latest step of the SinoUK cooperation on copyright regulation and operation, the agreement was signed between the UK Copyright Licensing Agency and the China Written Works Copyright Society at the 6th UKChina Intellectual Property Salon on Tuesday evening.
The agreement will for the first time place Chinese written works in the British market, including books, articles in newspapers and magazines and academic papers, under the protection of the CLA, a nonprofit organization which has authorized more than 39,000 organizations and publications to copy and use copyright works while obtaining fair rewards for rights holders.
From now on, any copy or use of physical or digital forms of Chinese written works in the UK will be under the inspection of CLA, which will charge fees to users and forward them to the Chinese authors and publishers.
Yan Xiaohong, deputy chief of the Chinese National Copyright Administration, said the agreement marks a milestone in copyright protection for Chinese works in overseas markets.
“It will encourage more Chinese writers and publishers to produce more highquality copyright works appealing to foreigners, and guarantee their economic benefits,” Yan said.
“Also, it will serve as a guide for more agreements of its kind to be signed with copyright collective management agencies in other countries and regions of the world. Eventually, this kind of cooperation will increase Chinese cultural exports.” The CWWCS is the only valid organization approved by the National Copyright Administration to collectively manage and operate copyright in China.
Kevin Fitzgerald, Chief Executive of the CLA, is confident the British agency will provide a safe and fair environment for the influence of Chinese written works to grow in UK.
“Its significant for the Chinese publishing industrys global development. We are happy to be part of the teamwork, which will protect copyright holders economic benefits from being harmed by piracy and violation,” Fitzgerald said. Richard Mollet, chair of the UK Publishers Association and the UK Alliance for Intellectual Property, and UK Minister for Intellectual Property Baroness Lucy NevilleRolfe also attended the signing ceremony.

Most people dont get enough sleep at night. For many people being sleep deprived means not functioning as well as they could be, but for millions of other people lack of sleep is a sign of a serious health condition.
People who are suffering from exhaustion, high blood pressure and inexplicable headaches are all showing symptoms of a sleep disorder called obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).
Why dont people with OSA get the sleep that they need every night? The answer may surprise you—its snoring!
Snoring causes a person to wake up throughout the night. For most, snoring is simply a case of having to move your body from a bad position into one thats more comfortable to breathe in. But for the 18 million people in the United States suffering from OSA, snoring is their bodys cry for help. Throughout the night people with OSA literally stop breathing. They stop breathing because the muscles in their mouth, jaw, and throat relax, blocking the free flow of air in the airway. These moments of suffocation can last for up to an entire minute. A person with OSA wakes up hundreds of times during a single night as their bodies try not to suffocate. Snoring is their bodys only way to get enough air to breathe.
The result is that when people with OSA get out of bed in the morning, they feel like they havent slept at all. And its true—they have not had a full sleep cycle. Not only are their bodies exhausted, they have opened up an entire range of new health problems that are associated with this extreme sleep loss, including heart attacks, depression, strokes, memory loss, acid reflux and diabetes.
In the past, there werent that many treatment options available for people with sleep apnea. They could go and get an expensive diagnosis, and then drop several thousand dollars visiting a sleep clinic that would require an annoying overnight visit. One of the possible outcomes for such patients would be having to strap themselves into a CPAP breathing device for the entire night—thats one of those breathing masks attached to an explosive tank next to your bed. Or worse, they would have to undergo a painful and invasive surgery.
Luckily, all that has changed!
Now there is the chin strap by MySnoringSolution. Its a comfortable and affordable treatment for OSA that keeps your breathing passages open while you wear it in bed. This treatment method has been found to be effective in a recent study at the Eastern Virginia Medical Schools Division of Sleep Medicine and it is clinically tested and doctor approved. It works by keeping the jaw and tongue from loosening up, thereby keeping the airway unobstructed. Made from lightweight materials with the sleepers maximum comfort in mind, the chin strap has helped thousands get the sleep that their bodies have always needed at night.
MySnoringSolution is so sure the chin strap will solve all of your sleep apnea troubles, no matter what your reason, you have 90 days to return your chin strap and get a full refund of your money (so you basically risk nothing by trying this out).
Its not just about getting a full nights sleep—its about getting to sleep in a way that is comfortable for you. Try MySnoringSolution now, get a good nights sleep at last and end your snoring problems once and for all!

If you are a Dropbox user, then this piece of news will certainly set alarm bells ringing. Apparently, cybercriminals belonging to an unknown group have threatened to expose login details of more than seven million users worldwide.
According to a Reddit thread, links to multiple files storing confidential Dropbox userlogin details including usernames and passwords have been found.
These personal user details were said to have been stored in plain text format, thus making them easily accessible to leaks and unauthorised use of account.
Leaks were reportedly found within a web portal (入口) called Pastebin, which according to Next Web contains the login credentials (憑證) of an estimated 400 Dropbox user accounts.
Hackers are apparently demanding Bitcoin donations in return for the stolen user login credentials, and have reportedly threatened to release more Dropbox user credentials online if their demands are not met.
Dropbox denies usercredential hack.
In a statement to Next Web, Dropbox has denied that the cloud storage service (and its server) was hacked. It added that user credentials were obtained by cyber criminals via thirdparty services and applications.
The company also stated that a significant number of passwords currently posted by hackers online have expired (失效) long ago.
Finally, Dropbox adds that it had earlier detected attacks similar to the current username / password breach, and had taken precautions such as resorting to performing automatic password reset on ‘suspicious’ accounts.
“Dropbox has not been hacked. These usernames and passwords were unfortunately stolen from other services and used in attempts to log in to Dropbox accounts. Wed previously detected these attacks and the vast majority of the passwords posted have been expired for some time now. All other remaining passwords have been expired as well,” said Dropbox, in a statement to Next Web.
The cloud storage company is also currently sending out emails to its users cautioning them to reset account password, in order to add security to their Dropbox account.
In summary, even though Dropbox has denied that its servers were breached, and laid the blame for the latest hack on thirdparty applications, do remember that the companys servers allow thirdparty apps to access the cloudstorage platform.

WHEN THE TWINS left Scarlett standing on the porch of Tara and the last sound of flying hooves had died away, she went back to her chair like a sleepwalker. Her face felt stiff as from pain and her mouth actually hurt from having stretched it, unwillingly, in smiles to prevent the twins from learning her secret. She sat down wearily, and her heart swelled up with misery, until it felt too large for her bosom. Her hands were cold, and a feeling of disaster oppressed her. There were pain and bewilderment in her face, the bewilderment of a pampered child who has always had her own way for the asking and who now, for the first time, was in contact with the unpleasantness of life.
Ashley to marry Melanie Hamilton!
Oh, it couldnt be true! The twins were mistaken. They were playing one of their jokes on her.
Ashley couldnt, couldnt be in love with her. Nobody could, not with a mousy little person like Melanie. Scarlett recalled with contempt Melanies thin childish figure, her serious heartshaped face that was plain almost to homeliness. And Ashley couldnt have seen her in months. He hadnt been in Atlanta more than twice since the house party he gave last year at Twelve Oaks. No, Ashley couldnt be in love with Melanie, because—oh, she couldnt be mistaken!—because he was in love with her! She, Scarlett, was the one he loved—she knew it!
Flushed and breathing hard, she sat down on a stump to wait for her father. It was past time for him to come home, but she was glad that he was late. The delay would give her time to quiet her breathing and calm her face so that his suspicions would not be aroused. Every moment she expected to hear the pounding of his horses hooves and see him come charging up the hill at his usual breakneck speed. But the minutes slipped by and Gerald did not come. She looked down the road for him, the pain in her heart swelling up again.
“Oh, it cant be true!” she thought.
It seemed strange now that when she was growing up Ashley had never seemed so very attractive to her. In childhood days, she had seen him come and go and never given him a thought.
But since that day two years ago when Ashley, newly home from his three years Grand Tour in Europe, had called to pay his respects, she had loved him. It was as simple as that.
She had been on the front porch and he had ridden up the long avenue, dressed in gray broadcloth. Even now, she could recall each detail of his dress and how brightly his boots shone. And he said, “So youve grown up, Scarlett.” And, coming lightly up the steps, he had kissed her hand.
And his voice! She would never forget the leap of her heart as she heard it, as if for the first time, drawling, resonant, musical.
She had wanted him, in that first instant, wanted him as simply and unreasoningly as she wanted food to eat, horses to ride and a soft bed on which to lay herself.
True, he never made love to her, nor did the clear gray eyes ever glow with that hot light Scarlett knew so well in other men. And yet—and yet—she knew he loved her. She could not be mistaken about it. Instinct stronger than reason and knowledge born of experience told her that he loved her.
The very mystery of him excited her curiosity like a door that had neither lock nor key. The things about him which she could not understand only made her love him more, and his odd, restrained courtship only served to increase her determination to have him for her own. That he would propose some day she had never doubted, for she was too young and too spoiled ever to have known defeat. And now, like a thunderclap, had come this horrible news. Ashley to marry Melanie!
It couldnt be true!

A. Scarletts father loved her mother very much
B. Scarlett was more reasonable than emotional

Teachers 370Pound Weight
Loss Inspires Students
At 550 pounds, middle school and high school band director Ryan Blocker found it hard to do his job. Playing instruments was tough—Blocker says hed be short of breath and get headaches when trying to play brass instruments and even get tired just playing the drums—and leading the marching band was often impossible. “We had one parade that was 2.1 miles, I had to have the other band director lead it for me,” he tells Yahoo Parenting. “I even dreaded the ones that were just a couple of blocks. Id start in front of the band and finish at the back. I know my students were worried.”
Two years later, through a diet program of preportioned meals and exercise, the 30yearold has dropped a whopping 370 pounds, and Ryan says his students at New Madrid County Central High School in Missouri have been some of his biggest supporters. “I teach sixth through 12th grade, so some of these kids have known me for years, and have seen me through this whole journey,” he says. “They notice that Im more active and have more energy to do my job and that Im in a better mood because Im not tired all the time,” he says.
Blocker says his newfound health has changed the way he teaches. With more energy, hes able to demonstrate how his students should play instruments rather than just explaining what they should do, plus hes rediscovered his love of music—something that hed lost when he wasnt playing. Hes also engaging in more extracurriculars. “Band isnt just 8 to 3, you work all the time, but I wasnt getting stuff done because I wasnt going anywhere but school and home,” he says.
Perhaps most importantly, Blocker says he now encourages a healthy lifestyle for his students. “Obesity is a problem and its starting younger and younger,” he says. “If the changes that I make can inspire kids to make better choices—even small ones—thats great. For most teachers, candy is an easy reward for good behavior or a good outcome on a test. But there are other ways—like bonus points or special activities, and students like that.” On band trips, Blocker says hes going to provide water instead of soda, and bring along fruit instead of chips. “Ive found that kids will eat healthy stuff if its available to them.”
Some of Blockers impact might not be so immediate. “Even if its in the back of the students head when they are older—if they know they need to get healthy and remember that they saw me do it, that would be great,” Blocker says.
For now, the teachers increased activity level is rubbing off on the kids whether they like it or not. “Before, if it was hot and we were going to have marching band outside, I would be like ‘ugh, lets not go out today,’” he says. “Not anymore.”

61. 閱讀下面短文,然后按要求寫(xiě)一篇150詞左右的英語(yǔ)短文。
In a small village there lived a lazy Brahmin Ramdas. He would do nothing but daydream whole day. One sunny afternoon, Ramdas was very hungry. With great difficulty, he got up and stretched his arms. Stepping out of his hut, he exclaimed, “What a beautiful day. How I wish I could go back to sleep. But then, I will have to go out and get my food.” After bathing, Ramdas took out a bowl and went out to beg.
By begging the whole day he managed to get a pot full of milk. He hung this pot on the ceiling above, lay down on his bed and started day dreaming again.
“It is this pot of milk that is going to make me rich,” he thought. “I will use it to make butter. From the butter, I will be able to make ghee. I really am clever!”
“I will then go to the market and sell the ghee,” his dream continued. “With the money I get, I will buy a pair of goats. They will have kids after six months. Soon I would have an entire herd of goats.”
“Then I will continue my business. I will trade the goats for cattle. I will buy some more cows and own a farmhouse. I will start a dairy farm. Once I earn a handsome amount I will employ people in my farm. I can also open a sweet shop in the middle of the village. I will make sweets out of the cows milk.” The Brahmin kept smiling to himself.
“How smart I am,” he thought. “The day I become a rich businessman I will build a big house right in the middle of the village. There will be a splendid garden and a swimming pool in front of the house. Early morning I will bathe in the blue waters of the pool. Seeing such an abundant lifestyle, the village headman will come to my house and plead for my hand for his beautiful daughter.” “After I get married,” Ramdas continued dreaming. “Ill make her work throughout the day. If she fights with me, I will jump up and give her a kick!”
Lost in his thoughts, he struck out with his foot, breaking the pot, and drenched (使?jié)裢福?himself with the milk. He saw the broken pot and cried. He lost whatever he had because of his laziness and day dreaming.

Brahmin Ramdas would daydream rather than do anything. One day he got a pot full of milk by begging. He pictured that he could become wealthy and get married but failed.
Laziness is the biggest enemy of our life, which steals everything from us by and by. When we are lazy, we are not full of passion and we will not work hard towards our goal. To make things worse, we will become physically sick if we are lazy. For example, during last summer holidays, I stayed in bed, playing computer games all day with the air conditioner on. As a result, I had a bad cold and I was unable to focus on my homework for days.
The National Examination is approaching. If we want to be admitted to our ideal university, we have to overcome the devil laziness. No lazy man can reach the summit of success. Be diligent now and we will have a bright future. (159w)
