一、教材分析
本課是一節(jié)讀寫課,因此在本模塊的學習上占有很重要的位置。本課既是對第一單元所學的直接引語與間接引語轉換的進一步感知和體驗,也為第三單元中模塊任務即write a review of your favourite TV programme做好了準備。本節(jié)課介紹的是一部美國電影《加勒比海盜》。課文從聽說到讀寫都圍繞著娛樂方面的話題展開,因此學生會接觸很多相關的詞匯。學生要讀懂文章,學習更多直接引語和間接引語的轉換規(guī)則,在閱讀教學中要不斷教授學生寫作技巧,為寫作做準備,即讀未知寫已知。
二、教學對象分析
娛樂是學生最愿意討論和關注的話題,但關于娛樂的寫作是大多數(shù)學生比較欠缺的。通過本課學習,學生能夠在閱讀中體會本課的寫作技巧,并盡量運用寫作技巧來完成自己的寫作。
三、教學目標
(一)知識目標
1.學生能掌握下列單詞(詞組)的讀音、拼寫和意思:fight, sail, ship, tonight, act, character, face, action, play, scene, funny, although, opinion, except, advise。能夠在課文中正確理解下列單詞:pirate, believable, lost, fighting, romantic。
2.學生能掌握下列詞組:face to face, in one’s opinion, true to life, except for.
3.在具體語境中體會和掌握直接引語和間接引語轉換規(guī)則。
4.在閱讀中提高閱讀與寫作技巧,閱讀后能寫出關于娛樂評論的文章。
(二)語言技能目標
1.聽:通過聽文章錄音來獲取有關娛樂話題的主要信息和細節(jié)。
2.說:能根據文章內容運用直接引語和間接引語轉換規(guī)則進行問答、討論、復述等。
3.讀:能讀懂電影簡介及評論、明白文章主旨大意,提高理解文章結構的技能。
4.寫:能運用間接引語轉述別人的話。
(三)教學重點、難點和關鍵點
本節(jié)課是一節(jié)讀寫課,新課程標準要求培養(yǎng)學生養(yǎng)成良好的閱讀習慣,指導學生運用恰當?shù)拈喿x方法獲取信息,處理信息。因此通過獲取關于電影《加勒比海盜》的信息是本課的重點,內化語言知識把課文復述出來是本課的難點。要想提高閱讀效率,選擇適當?shù)拈喿x方法是關鍵,這是本課的教學關鍵點。
四、教學過程
Step 1:Revision
Look and say. What did he/she say?
Ask students to look at the screen and answer questions using the Indirect Speech.
【設計意圖】:巧妙地通過復習,自然地過渡到導言,且由學生喜歡的電影明星引起興趣,馬上投入學習。既復習了直接引語變間接引語,又由此導入了本課的學習內容——關于電影的話題。
Step 2:Warming-up
Teach new words through talking.
T: Look at this picture, who’s he? Yes, he’s Zhou Xingchi.What’s his job?
S1: He’s an actor.
S2:He’s a film star. He acts very well.
T: He is my favourite film star. What do you think of him?
S3: He’s very funny.
T: Have you ever seen his film called Kung Fu. It’s an action film.Now look at the poster of this film? How many characters can you see in this poster? Characters means the people in the film, got it? Look at this picture. What are they doing?
S4: They are fighting.
T: Do you like this scene?
S5: No.
T: Yeah, the fighting looks dangerous. Have you ever seen this film? What do you think of it?
S6: Yes. It’s enjoyable/excellent/funny...
【設計意圖】:本活動是以談論影星周星馳為話題的熱身活動來導入主題,引起學生興趣。一是在輕松的氣氛中處理本課中一些重點單詞,為下面閱讀掃清詞匯障礙。二是猜測文章內容,訓練學生對文章的預測能力,難度可能大些,但不必強調學生的語言正確性,鼓勵學生大膽地說。這個環(huán)節(jié)不但為開展閱讀教學做好了鋪墊,而且激活了課文相關的背景知識。
Step 3:Lead-in
Just now we talked about Zhou Xingchi’s movie. This class we’ll learn about an introduction of a foreign film. Now look at this picture. This is the poster of the film. Can you guess what it’s about?
That’s good, you’re clever. Do you want to know what the film is about? Now let’s learn the passage in Unit Two on page 50.
Look at the picture below. Which words can you use to describe it?
1. Ask someone to read the words in the box.
2. Use these words to infer what the film is about.

Step4:Listen to the passage and answer questions
Ask students to listen to the passage with questions, then answer quickly. Question:
1. What is Chen Huan reporting?
2. What is the story about?
3. Does Chen Huan think it is an excellent film?
【設計意圖】:初步感知課文語言,培養(yǎng)學生通過聽了解課文主旨大意的能力。
Step 5:Read the passage and check the main idea of each paragraph
Now class, let’s listen and match the main idea with each paragraph.
【設計意圖】:本環(huán)節(jié)訓練學生對段落大意的理解力,從而更準確、深入地理解文章。
Step 6:Read and check true sentences
Ask the students to read aloud and check the true sentences.
【設計意圖】:本環(huán)節(jié)意在培養(yǎng)學生對文章細節(jié)的閱讀理解能力,掌握閱讀文章的技巧。
Step 7:Analyze each paragraph

Step 8:Retell the text
Ask students to retell the text from paragraph to paragraph with the help of some pictures.
【設計意圖】:本環(huán)節(jié)可以幫助學生進一步熟悉課文內容,訓練并提高口頭表達能力。復述課文既是語言知識的內化過程,又為下一步的真實語言的運用做好鋪墊。
Step 9:Fill in the blanks with new words and phrases to sum up the main idea of the passage

Step 10:Summarize for writing

【設計意圖】:讓學生重新梳理文章, 明確寫什么, 把握文章的結構,在小組合作中完成寫作任務。只有真實的語言情境才能激發(fā)學生表達的欲望。通過總結歸納,學生明確了寫作要點。在小組中合作交流,易于激發(fā)學生的表達欲望。學生在語言實踐的活動中,將自己的語言知識自覺或不自覺地轉化為語言能力。
Step11: Homework
1.Write a short report about the movie Kung Fu or some other movies.
2.Retell the text using the Indirect Speech.
