No Need for Blind Economy-Stimulating Measures
China’s GDP has seen an 8.1% growth rate in the f irst quarter of 2012 as compared with the same period last year, marking the lowest quarterly growth rate in the recent three years. We consider the adjustment of the economic structure as one of the most important tasks, while some experts said that the government should take measures for stimulating the economy.
Local Governments’ Efforts in Financial Reform
Under the situation of a possible relatively low economic growth rate, more and more measures for attracting capital through channels beyond the bank credit system have been taken recently by some local governments. Experts said that the pilot financial reform in Wenzhou opens the door to further financial reform.

The Housing Security Act, which was included in the program of legislation in 2008, will possibly turn to the Basic Housing Ordinance. Some analysts said that the ensuring housing construction has been accelerated in the recent four years and the legislation should adapt to the changing reality.
Review of Electric Power System Reform
China should review its electric power system on the 10th anniversary of the reform in the field, said some analysts, adding that two of the four major objectives of the electric power system reform have been initially achieved. Separation of grid and generation, separation of auxiliary body from the main body, separation of distribution from transmission and building competitive bidding model of power on net are the four major objectives of the reform.
