A 簡(jiǎn)歷
對(duì)希望進(jìn)入外企發(fā)展的應(yīng)屆畢業(yè)生來(lái)說(shuō),如何設(shè)計(jì)出一份專業(yè)又具有競(jìng)爭(zhēng)力的英文簡(jiǎn)歷,如何使用規(guī)范的格式和準(zhǔn)確的英語(yǔ)表達(dá)方式呢?
外籍專家建議簡(jiǎn)歷內(nèi)容不易過(guò)多,大約2~4頁(yè)A4紙的內(nèi)容即可。提綱挈領(lǐng)的內(nèi)容主要是:
——你的求職目標(biāo),明確你希望做什么;
——教育背景,從最近的一次開(kāi)始,即研究生、大學(xué)、高中,記得寫上學(xué)歷;
——工作經(jīng)歷,主要說(shuō)明你在各個(gè)時(shí)期的職責(zé)是什么;
——其他經(jīng)歷/經(jīng)驗(yàn),所有跟你求職有關(guān)的經(jīng)驗(yàn):像海外旅行(trips abroad)、能夠體現(xiàn)你精神面貌的愛(ài)好,諸如運(yùn)動(dòng)等;
——個(gè)人資料,諸如詳細(xì)的聯(lián)系地址、出生年月、個(gè)人品德評(píng)定等;
——證明人,兩三個(gè)知道你的人。他們包括:一個(gè)你所在大學(xué)的教授,一個(gè)職業(yè)人士,即你以前實(shí)習(xí)過(guò)的單位的老板或你親戚當(dāng)中有職業(yè)經(jīng)歷的人。外資公司的HR負(fù)責(zé)人可能會(huì)通過(guò)這些人了解你的一些情況,所以你事先要跟他們確認(rèn)是否愿意給你作證明。
另外,還要加上一封“附信”,簡(jiǎn)要介紹一下你自己,并且概括出一到兩點(diǎn)你的最大優(yōu)勢(shì),并告訴公司要特別關(guān)注你這些方面的特點(diǎn)。
在附信中需要注意這樣幾點(diǎn):
描述要有事實(shí)依據(jù)只說(shuō)你過(guò)去在學(xué)校學(xué)習(xí)或公司實(shí)習(xí)的事實(shí),不要說(shuō)印象中不確定的或感覺(jué)上的東西,內(nèi)容要與目前的求職切身相關(guān)。不要再把你的一些個(gè)人信息放進(jìn)去。
實(shí)事求是,不說(shuō)假話在介紹你過(guò)去的工作學(xué)習(xí)經(jīng)歷或其他經(jīng)驗(yàn)時(shí),要著重介紹那些可靠的、有重要意義的事,同時(shí)要注意態(tài)度和方式方法。比如你要描述以前你曾在一家酒店工作過(guò)的經(jīng)歷,“I worked at the reception desk of the…Hotel”,可以說(shuō)成是“At the…Hotel I was responsible for welcoming guests and processing their payments.”
在沒(méi)有特殊要求的時(shí)候不要放上你的照片。一家正規(guī)、嚴(yán)肅的外資公司不在意你是否“長(zhǎng)得漂亮”,而更在意你能做什么工作。除非有要求,否則不要夾入你的各種證書的原件或復(fù)印件。
不卑不亢不要把“附信”寫得像一封“乞求書”;當(dāng)然,你也不是在給你的朋友寫信,注意語(yǔ)氣里不要表現(xiàn)得那么不顧一切,即使你寫信時(shí)的心態(tài)是這樣。有不少求職者在英文簡(jiǎn)歷中這樣寫:“My friends say I'm such a nice,happy person…please hire me and you won't regret it!”通常這樣的簡(jiǎn)歷會(huì)被直接丟進(jìn)垃圾桶,因?yàn)檎Z(yǔ)句看起來(lái)一點(diǎn)也不嚴(yán)肅和專業(yè)。
確認(rèn)你的簡(jiǎn)歷能正確送達(dá)如不能確認(rèn),可以打電話到你應(yīng)聘的那個(gè)部門,詢問(wèn)該部門的主管;也可以把簡(jiǎn)歷直接發(fā)到HR部門。如果你要同時(shí)發(fā)送大量電子簡(jiǎn)歷,請(qǐng)分開(kāi)發(fā)送,不要進(jìn)行群發(fā)操作。
B 面試
當(dāng)下,正值應(yīng)屆畢業(yè)生求職高峰期,很多人渴望進(jìn)入外企。而很多外企的面試必須要用英語(yǔ)交流,那么,在至關(guān)重要的面試機(jī)會(huì)中,如何用英語(yǔ)流利介紹自己、表達(dá)想法呢?如何在面試中得到招聘者的欣賞呢?
外籍專家建議在面試剛開(kāi)始的時(shí)候不要過(guò)度彰顯你的自信,而應(yīng)該把所有的注意力集中在你的謙虛和禮貌上。彬彬有禮的態(tài)度和語(yǔ)氣會(huì)給面試官留下很好的印象分。另外,請(qǐng)確認(rèn)你是否知道面試官的姓名(除非有好幾個(gè)人參加對(duì)你的面試),通常情況下,你應(yīng)該這樣開(kāi)頭:Good morning/afternoon,Mr/Ms…My name is…;thank you Very much for considering my application and giving me the opportunity to meet you.
接下來(lái),面試官會(huì)問(wèn)一些問(wèn)題,這些關(guān)鍵的實(shí)際問(wèn)句、短語(yǔ)以及通常情況下相對(duì)應(yīng)的回答,希望能夠掌握并靈活運(yùn)用:
Q:What are your reasons for applying for this job?
A:I've always been interested in…/I've always wanted to…
Q:What are your reasons for wanting to work for our company?
A:Your company has an excellent reputation for…I'm very impressed by… (Remarks: Mention something specific about the company-do your homework!)
Q:What practical experience do you have which would help you in this job?
A:I have worked for…as…to be responsible for…for…months/years.(Remarks:Try to mention the previous job description as relevant to the job you are interviewing for, if possible)During this period.I have helped the company to solve…(Problems), and I learnt… (Skill/knowledge) which will be definitely be of use in this job I am applying now for.
Q:What makes you feel that you're the right person for this job?
A:I'm loyal and hard-working,and very good at…If I'm given the chance. I think I can contribute to the company's growth and development
Q:Well, thank you for coming in,Mr/Ms…; we'll be in touch with you shortly.
A:Thank you again for giving me the chance to meet you. I'll look for ward to hearing from you in due course.
請(qǐng)注意,剛畢業(yè)的大學(xué)生,通常會(huì)因?yàn)闆](méi)有什么工作經(jīng)驗(yàn)而受到質(zhì)疑,當(dāng)面試官提出這樣的問(wèn)題時(shí),你也不要為此過(guò)于緊張和擔(dān)心。你應(yīng)該巧妙地回避你的缺點(diǎn),而著重挖掘你已有的能力,特別是你的個(gè)人學(xué)習(xí)能力。你也可以表明你的觀點(diǎn):積極、快速、自主地去學(xué)習(xí)各種知識(shí)來(lái)充實(shí)自己,從而達(dá)到個(gè)人發(fā)展和工作上的要求。你可以這樣表達(dá):
I taught myself to use Photoshop and Excel by buying the manuals, and I'm pretty proficient.
或者是
When I was at university,I took the chance to study German as an extra subject, and reached a reasonable level.

如何與老板談“薪”
在對(duì)方?jīng)]有主動(dòng)提到“薪資”的時(shí)候,應(yīng)聘者千萬(wàn)不要貿(mào)然地直接詢問(wèn),這時(shí)我們可以用一些慣用的語(yǔ)句來(lái)委婉表達(dá)這層意思,比如:“I was expecting something like…”或者“I was thinking of…”
再比如我們會(huì)碰到這樣的情景,面試官:“What sort of salary would you be expecting,if you were offered the position?”
那么我們通常的回答應(yīng)該是:“I was thinking of something like RMB 4,000 a month.”或者“I was expecting around RMB4,000 8 month,considering my qualifications.”
但意外的是,面試官有時(shí)卻會(huì)說(shuō):“Well,the starting salary for this position is RMB 2,000 a month”這時(shí)千萬(wàn)不要在臉上表現(xiàn)出緊張或者極不自然的神情;也不要直接就薪水討價(jià)還價(jià)。否則,你會(huì)引起面試官的反感,甚至丟掉這份工作,特別是在一些國(guó)際知名的大公司。這時(shí)我們需要做的,最好是謙虛地和他溝通:“I was thinking of something more like four to five thousand,considering my qualification,but it depends on the pay scale Would there be regular increments?”
總之,在應(yīng)聘外企的時(shí)候,對(duì)薪資這個(gè)問(wèn)題一定要認(rèn)真準(zhǔn)備、從容應(yīng)對(duì),對(duì)可能出現(xiàn)的每一個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)都加以考慮,只有這樣我們才能有備無(wú)患,取得理想的結(jié)果。
