生活中令人不愉快及心煩的事情很多,這些事情一提起來(lái)我們就可以說(shuō)“What a pain in the neck!真令人頭疼!”比如說(shuō),數(shù)學(xué)考試你經(jīng)??疾患案瘢魈煊忠獢?shù)學(xué)測(cè)驗(yàn)了,你一想到就會(huì)說(shuō):“What a pain in the neck!”

2. It all adds up. 這倒說(shuō)得通;就是這個(gè)意思。
有時(shí)我們要對(duì)一件事情的結(jié)果找到合理的解釋,以便使對(duì)方相信,這時(shí)對(duì)方往往會(huì)說(shuō):“It all adds up.這倒說(shuō)得通?!北热缯f(shuō),叔叔買了一只名牌手機(jī),可是用了不到一個(gè)月就壞了。送去維修時(shí)發(fā)現(xiàn)是仿造品,你聽(tīng)后恍然大悟說(shuō):“It all adds up.”

3. What’s keeping you? 什么事絆住你了?
別人做事情不能照計(jì)劃進(jìn)行,或者遲遲沒(méi)有開(kāi)始行動(dòng),你就可以問(wèn)他:“What’s keeping you?什么事絆住你了?”,比如說(shuō),全家人都準(zhǔn)備好要出門旅行了,但弟弟就是呆在房間里遲遲不出來(lái),這時(shí)會(huì)有人喊道:“What’s keeping you?”再如:等你的同學(xué)看電影,等了好久他還沒(méi)到。打電話到他家里,結(jié)果是他本人接的,這時(shí)候你可能會(huì)問(wèn):“What’s keeping you?”

4. Take things as they come. 既來(lái)之,則安之。
當(dāng)我們需要?jiǎng)裾f(shuō)對(duì)方不要著急、緊張,要隨遇而安時(shí),就可以用:“Take things as they come. 既來(lái)之,則安之!”來(lái)表達(dá)。
到某個(gè)地方出差,很無(wú)聊,同伴會(huì)勸他:“Take things as they come.”
到外地讀書(shū),剛?cè)r(shí)很不習(xí)慣,很多學(xué)生都會(huì)想家,這時(shí)班主任會(huì)對(duì)同學(xué)們說(shuō):“Take things as they come.”

5. Give me a break! 饒了我吧!
如果有人一再惹你,而你又很煩惱,你就可以用:“Give me a break!饒了我吧!”來(lái)請(qǐng)求對(duì)方。
比如:你身邊有個(gè)愛(ài)問(wèn)問(wèn)題而且還打破砂鍋問(wèn)到底的人,常常使你答不出問(wèn)題很尷尬,你可以說(shuō):“Give me a break!”
如果你很幸運(yùn),那也一定被那些敬業(yè)精神很高的推銷員“看上”過(guò)吧!下次如果再遇到他們,你就可以用上這句話:“Give me a break!”
弟弟經(jīng)常要你帶他去玩電子游戲,你很煩,就可以對(duì)他說(shuō):“Give me a break!”

如果對(duì)對(duì)方說(shuō)的話,你不相信或半信半疑時(shí),就可以說(shuō):“No kidding?真的呀?”。
比如:有個(gè)同學(xué)長(zhǎng)期考試不及格,有同學(xué)告訴你,這次期末考試這個(gè)同學(xué)考了90分,你就可以說(shuō):“No kidding?”

當(dāng)一件事令你非常著急,又想不出辦法時(shí),可說(shuō):“I’m worried to death!急死我了?!?/p>
八點(diǎn)鐘上課,但已經(jīng)七點(diǎn)四十了,公共汽車還沒(méi)到,你肯定會(huì)說(shuō):“I’m worried to death!”
眼看還有十分鐘考試就要結(jié)束了,還有三道題沒(méi)做,你心里肯定在不停地說(shuō):“I’m worried to death!”
但其實(shí),不必什么事都說(shuō):“I’m worried to death!”,否則會(huì)想不出辦法的。

朋友之間經(jīng)常會(huì)為這樣或那樣的事情生氣,相互之間都應(yīng)當(dāng)提醒:“You don’t have to jump all over me!你不必和我發(fā)火!”
遇到事情要冷靜。若別人想對(duì)你發(fā)火,先用“You don’t have to jump all over me!”來(lái)提醒對(duì)方。
