英美人彼此相遇，尤其是陌生人或不熟悉的人在一起，常常以天氣為話題來談?wù)?，這樣雙方都有話可談，又不涉及任何私人話題，既能擺脫彼此間面面相覷、無話可談的尷尬局面，又可活躍氣氛，打破冷場。下面就如何談?wù)撎鞖膺M(jìn)行簡述：
一、詢問天氣的常用表達(dá)有：
(1)用特殊疑問句
用“What’s…like?”和“How’s…?”來詢問天氣情況。如：
1． ——What’s the weather like tomorrow? 明天的天氣怎么樣？
——It’s going to rain. 將會(huì)下雨。
2． ——How’s the weather today? 今天的天氣怎么樣？
——It’s very hot. 很熱。
(2)用一般疑問句
可用肯定和否定的一般疑問句來詢問。如：
1． ——Is it going to rain this afternoon? 今天下午將會(huì)下雨嗎？
——Yes， I think so. 是的，我認(rèn)為會(huì)。
2． ——Isn’t it cold? 難道不冷嗎？
——Yes， it is. 不，很冷。
(3)用反意疑問句
用簡短的一般疑問句來反問。如：
1. ——It’s very hot today， isn’t it? 今天很熱，不是嗎？
——Yes， it is. 是的，很熱。
2. ——The weather isn’t cold， is it? 天氣不冷，是吧？
——No， it isn’t. 是的，不冷。
二、詢問天氣的常用語
1. 問天氣情況。
What’s the weather like today? (或How is the weather today?) 今天天氣怎么樣？
What do you think of the weather today? 你覺得今天的天氣如何？
