Secondhand Clothes

Jim walked into a shop which had a sign outside，“secondhand clothes bought and sold．”He was carrying an old pair of trousers and asked the owner of the shop，“How much will you give me for this?”The man looked at them and then said loudly，“Two dollars．”

“What!”said Jim．“I thought they would be worth at least five．”

“No，”said the man．“They aren't worth a cent more than two dollars．”

“Are you sure?”asked Jim．

“Very sure．”the man said．

“Well，”said jim，taking two dollars out of his pocket，“Here’S your money．These trousers were hanging outside your shop with a price tag that said$6．50．I thought that was too much money， so I wanted to make sure how much they were really worth．”

Then he left the shop with the pair of trousers before the surprised shop owner could think of anything to say．

“好吧，”吉姆說著從布袋里拿出了兩美元，“給你錢，這條褲子掛在店外，上面標價6.5美元，我想太貴了，因此我想弄準確它到底值多少錢。”

然后他在目瞪口呆的店主還不知道說什么好的時候，拿著這條褲子離開了店鋪。
