The Art of Saying Yes 說“是”的藝術(shù)

Along time an old friend advises me to say no more often so I can concentrate on what matters most. Personally， I’ve used his advice to great advantage. Saying no is an art but so is saying yes. Here’s what I suggest you say YES to.

一位老朋友建議我多說“不”，這樣我就能集中精力做最重要的事情。就我個人而言，我完全采納了他的建議。但說“不”是一門藝術(shù)，說“是”也是一門藝術(shù)。我建議你對以下事情說“是”。

Say yes to fun.

對樂趣說“是”。

It’s true that too much fun can be frivolous. However， in some cases， it is also easy to get so focused on our work that we forget to enjoy it and have fun. Sometimes you can make the situation fun by the attitude and energy you bring to it.

的確，太多的樂趣會讓人覺得無聊。然而，在某些情況下，我們也很容易因過于專注于工作而忘記享受工作的樂趣。有時你可以通過改變自己的態(tài)度和投入的精力讓情況變得有趣。

Say yes to better relationships.

對更好的關(guān)系說“是”。

Anyone can spread himself or herself too thin relationally. If you are continually networking and connecting with new people， you can give too little attention to the relationships you already have. Improving and deepening relationships that matter to you is always something good to say yes to.

任何人都可能在關(guān)系上分身乏術(shù)。如果你不斷地與新朋友建立聯(lián)系，那么你可能會忽視已有的關(guān)系。改善和深化對你來說重要的關(guān)系，總是一件值得說“是”的事情。

Say yes to challenges.

對挑戰(zhàn)說“是”。

It is easy to think you’re not up to it. Why add any more challenge to your life than you already have？ While there are a few challenges you might have good reason to say no to， say yes to the challenges that stretch and grow you. As for me， I tend to do best when in a challenging situation. Challenge can bring out the best in you.

你很容易認為自己無法勝任。為什么要給你的生活增加比現(xiàn)有更多的挑戰(zhàn)呢？雖然你可能有充分的理由拒絕一些挑戰(zhàn)，但應(yīng)該對那些能讓你全力以赴并讓你成長的挑戰(zhàn)說“是”。對我來說，我往往在充滿挑戰(zhàn)的情況下做得最好。挑戰(zhàn)能讓你發(fā)揮出最好的一面。

Say yes to opportunity.

對機會說“是”。

Put yourself in the place of maximum opportunity. Sometimes opportunity finds you but more often than not， you have to search for it. Belong to groups that challenge and inspire you. Associate with people who are making things happen. And when you do find opportunity， don’t pass it by because of laziness.

將自己置身于獲得機會最大的位置。有時機會會自己找上門來，但更多的時候，你必須去尋找它。加入那些有挑戰(zhàn)的和能激勵你的團體。與那些有執(zhí)行力的人交往。當你找到機會時，不要因為懶惰而錯過它。
