Stove-boiled Tea: Experience Traditional Chinese Tea Culture 圍爐煮茶：感受中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)茶文化

Traditional tea processing techniques and their associated social practices in China were added to UNESCOs Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2022.

“Stove-boiled tea”， a new way of drinking tea， has become popular in China. The process of drinking tea has a sense of ritual， and the ceremony has become a new favorite of young people.

Usually， the process of boiling tea on a stove consists of lightly roasting tea leaves before brewing them， sometimes with rosebuds or sweet osmanthus， in a pot over a charcoal-filled stove. Boiling tea is a time-consuming process that requires constant attention to the temperature in order to properly “cook” it.

2022年，“中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)制茶技藝及其相關(guān)習(xí)俗”被列入聯(lián)合國(guó)教科文組織人類非物質(zhì)文化遺產(chǎn)代表作名錄。

作為新式的茶文化體驗(yàn)，“圍爐煮茶”在中國(guó)逐漸流行起來(lái)?！皣鸂t煮茶”的過(guò)程別具儀式感，這一喝茶方式很快成為年輕人的新寵。

通常來(lái)說(shuō)，在火爐上煮茶的過(guò)程是，在煮茶之前，先稍微烘烤一下茶葉，然后把茶葉（有時(shí)會(huì)同玫瑰花蕾或桂花一起）放在炭爐上的茶壺里煮。煮茶的過(guò)程很耗時(shí)，需要持續(xù)地關(guān)注溫度，以便正確地煮茶。

People sit around the stove and have fruits， nuts， and desserts with their hot tea. Its such a pleasure to chat with friends while having this new style of tea. People also post their moments of “stove-boiled tea” while wearing traditional Hanfu in the ancient teahouses.
