1. in order to... 為了……

He worked very hard in order to realize his dream. 為了實(shí)現(xiàn)他的夢想，他學(xué)習(xí)非常努力。

2. so...that... 如此……以至于……

They were all so tired that they could do nothing but yawn. 他們太累了，除了打哈欠什么都做不了。

3. would rather... than 寧愿……也不……

He would rather listen to others than talk himself. 他寧愿聽他人講也不愿自己說。

4. not only... but also 不但……而且……

The Americans and the British not only speak the same language but also share a large number of social costums. 英國人和美國人不但語言相同，而且有很多相同的風(fēng)俗習(xí)慣。

5. either... or 要么……要么……

You could either buy a computer or go to Yunnan for a visit if you pass the exam. 如果通過考試，你可以買一臺電腦或去云南玩一趟。

6. neither... nor 既不……也不……

He is a boring man. He likes neither entertainment nor reading. 他是一個無聊的人，既不愛娛樂，也不愛讀書。

7. not... until 直到……才

8. find it + adj. to do... 發(fā)現(xiàn)做某事……

9. as well as 既……又

He was kind as well as helpful. 他善良又樂于助人。

10. ...as well 也……

The child is active and funny as well. 這個小孩活潑又可愛。

11. one... the other 一個……另一個……

Can you see the two pens on the desk？ One is red， the other is black. 你能看見桌子上有兩支筆嗎？一支是紅色的，另一支是黑色的。

12. some... others 一些……另一些……
