A painter died in his apartment， and the florist downstairs called the police. When the detective arrived， the doors and windows of the apartment were all locked. The painter fell on the bed and the gun fell on the ground. He had been dead for many days. Everyone thinks the painter killed himself.

The florist said sadly that it had been the artists habit to go to the florist every Friday night to buy 13 pink roses for 10 years. But for the recent two weeks， the painter didn't come to buy flowers. He was a little worried， so he called the police. Unexpectedly， things went wrong.

The detective asked the police at the scene，"Where are the roses ？ "

The policeman said， " They were all put in the vases. The vases were on the windowsill， but the flowers have withered， leaving only the sprays. "

Again asked the detective，"Was there any blood on the floor and windowsill？ "

The policeman shook his head， and said，" There left nothing but a speck of dust. Blood was only found on the bed. "

The detective thought about it and said，" This is a murder case. "
