Enabling Village是新加坡首個多元共融小區(qū)空間，專注提供培訓，協(xié)助殘疾人士就業(yè)。建筑師經細心思量，高超地翻新70年代興建的大樓，將原本封閉而了無生氣的建筑，改建成30 000平方米的小區(qū)公園。新空間為殘疾人士、其監(jiān)護人、鄰近的居民及大眾提供一個休憩場所，凝聚小區(qū)，是城市更新的又一范例。
Enabling Village is the first inclusive community space in Singapore with a special focus on training and employment for persons with disabilities. Through the masterful reuse of the previous institution built in the 1970s, architects transform the previously sterile and inaccessible building into a 30 000m2community park. The new space brings together persons with disabilities, their caregivers, residents and public. It is yet another textbook example of urban renewal.
