《埃塞爾與歐內(nèi)斯特》講的就是這樣一對平凡夫婦的平凡故事。這是一部手繪動畫電影，改編自英國畫家雷蒙德·布里格斯以其父母真實人生為藍本創(chuàng)作的同名繪本。該書于1998年出版，第二年一舉奪得英國國家圖書獎“年度最佳繪本”。電影從頭到尾都是明麗鮮亮的彩鉛畫風，即便是戰(zhàn)時最陰郁的場景，也可以讓人感受到畫面透出的溫暖柔軟。

這部故事跨度幾乎囊括整個20世紀的動畫電影是一部非常典型的英國片——濃重的倫敦口音、各種英式口語俚語，以及很有英倫風情的表達用法，都與我們平時在教材里接觸到的內(nèi)容有一定區(qū)別，同學們在聽聲音的時候不妨多加留意。

歐內(nèi)斯特每天騎車都會路過埃塞爾幫傭的人家，兩人隔窗相望，漸生情愫。他們每天都會隔著樓上樓下的距離打聲招呼，直到一場大雨打斷了聯(lián)系，于是歐內(nèi)斯特決定上門追求……

假如別人的發(fā)言讓你產(chǎn)生了疑問，你可以用“Am I to understand that…?”這個句型進行確認。雖然這是一個禮貌用語，但是在具體語境中，根據(jù)發(fā)問人的語氣和口吻的不同，可以表達出比單純的禮貌更復雜的意思，比如此處女主人流露出來的傲慢態(tài)度。此外，“be + to do”這種結構通常用于第一人稱疑問句中，表示征求對方意見，如：Am I to stop here or what? （我是要在這兒停下嗎，還是怎樣來著？）

Some的用法小結
