魅力主題國，金色緬甸星耀東博會

提起緬甸，會讓你想起什么？一個全民信仰小乘佛教的微笑國度？金光四射的仰光大金塔？還是價值連城的翡翠和寶石？

或許對于許多人來說，緬甸仍然是一個鮮為人知的神秘之地。不過，近年來隨著對外開放步伐的加快，以及在中國—東盟博覽會上的魅力呈現(xiàn)，緬甸，這片金色土地變得日益真實。

作為中國—東盟博覽會的共辦方，2012年，緬甸在第9屆東博會上首任東博會主題國，通過一系列的交流促進活動，既讓世人更加了解一個真實的緬甸，同時也為中國與東盟“10+1”合作錦上添花。

共襄盛會，綻放異彩

對于緬甸來說，在中國—東盟博覽會舉辦歷程中，2012年第9屆東博會無疑是極不平凡的一屆。這一屆，緬甸首任主題國，在東博會這一世界舞臺上綻放異彩；這一屆，緬甸擴大影響力，與中國及其他東盟國家進一步加大貿(mào)易和投資合作力度，成就了東博會的又一個精彩。而為了這一次“赴約”，緬甸盼了許久，也籌備了許久。

“東盟10個國家，每隔10年才能得到一次主題國的機會，我們等這個機會已經(jīng)快10年了。這一次，我們倍感驕傲！”2012年，緬甸出任第9屆中國—東盟博覽會主題國，時任緬甸總統(tǒng)吳登盛在接受媒體采訪時如是說。借助第9屆東博會，主題國緬甸舉辦了豐富多彩的主題國活動，既向世人全面展示了緬甸的風采和商機，同時也讓展會價值鏈得到延伸，精彩地詮釋了東博會的“10+1”合作共贏理念。

高端活動展魅力。對于歷屆東博會主題國來說，舉辦一系列高端活動是展示國家形象和商機的最好窗口，也是促進與區(qū)域內(nèi)國家合作的極佳途徑。為此，緬甸各界高度重視擔任第9屆東博會主題國，并由時任緬甸總統(tǒng)吳登盛親自率領(lǐng)高規(guī)格代表團參會，在會期舉辦了一系列高端活動，如緬甸國家領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人與中國企業(yè)CEO圓桌對話會、“金色緬甸——緬甸國家推介會”，以及“魅力之城”展示等。其中，緬甸“魅力之城”國家館開館儀式堪稱一大亮點。當中國國家主席習近平（時任中國國家副主席）和時任緬甸總統(tǒng)吳登盛一起按下緬甸開館按鍵時，“金色緬甸”展館的帷幕在悠揚動人的緬甸音樂聲中徐徐拉開，屏幕上放映中緬友好交流的畫面，讓人們深深感受到中緬源遠流長的傳統(tǒng)友誼和緬甸濃郁別致的異域風情。

豐富產(chǎn)品拓商機。商品展堪稱歷屆東博會上的重頭戲。而為了利用擔任東博會主題國的良好契機，緬甸還積極擴大參展參會規(guī)模，重點展示了農(nóng)產(chǎn)品與食品、珠寶玉器、木材與木制品及手工藝品等優(yōu)勢產(chǎn)品，并在品牌展區(qū)展示了緬甸本土優(yōu)秀品牌企業(yè)。同時，為了擴大主題國影響力，緬甸首次安排企業(yè)參加農(nóng)業(yè)展、輕工展，以及組織企業(yè)參加首次舉辦的東盟咖啡展，展出富有緬甸文化特色的咖啡產(chǎn)品，深受中國消費者歡迎和喜愛。

一系列精彩紛呈的活動和商品展，讓緬甸與區(qū)域內(nèi)國家碰撞出思想的火花，也結(jié)下合作的碩果：在珠寶玉器專題推介會上，緬甸礦業(yè)部代表、緬甸珠寶協(xié)會代表等珠寶玉器專家向中國珠寶行業(yè)企業(yè)及其他珠寶玉器愛好者介紹了緬甸珠寶玉器市場情況、緬甸玉器鑒賞知識等，促進中緬珠寶行業(yè)的交流與合作；在緬甸國家推介會上，緬甸官員介紹了緬甸國內(nèi)經(jīng)濟發(fā)展情況、投資政策以及投資貿(mào)易商機，并促進中國廣西有色金屬集團與緬甸濟奧麥礦業(yè)勘探與開發(fā)公司簽訂了鉛錫礦勘探開發(fā)合作備忘錄，中國南寧博誠商貿(mào)有限責任公司與緬甸奧查德漁業(yè)公司簽訂了漁業(yè)養(yǎng)殖與農(nóng)業(yè)開發(fā)合作備忘錄，務(wù)實推動了中國與東盟在各領(lǐng)域的互利合作。

“緬甸有很好的自然條件，勞動力豐富，這都是緬甸發(fā)展成為一個工業(yè)化國家的基礎(chǔ)性資源，但緬甸缺少資金，技術(shù)落后，人力資源也不足，所以我們努力吸引外資?！眳堑鞘⑻拐\表示。而通過東博會，緬甸向世界展示了一個全新的面貌，并在與各方的交流中收獲了合作的果實。

從展內(nèi)到展外，合作拾階而上

作為東南亞天然資源最為豐富的國家之一，緬甸在旅游、森林、玉石，以及天然氣和石油等領(lǐng)域頗有盛譽。而近年來，隨著緬甸在東博會上的不斷精彩亮相，既讓來自世界各地的客商、觀眾見識了緬甸獨具魅力的風采和商機，與此同時，中國與緬甸的合作也得以從東博會為起點，擴展到展外，雙方在你來我往的交流中，合作拾階而上。

據(jù)了解，2012年以來，廣西與緬甸成功開展了劍麻種植合作，以及雜交水稻高產(chǎn)試種示范、玉米制種試種和哈密瓜試種；廣西水電工程局投資8169萬美元建設(shè)了緬甸臘戍水泥廠 ；由中國中信集團與中國港灣、中國云南建工等組成的跨國企業(yè)集團聯(lián)合體投資興建了緬甸皎漂特區(qū)的工業(yè)園和深水港項目，極大地改善了當?shù)厝嗣竦木蜆I(yè)和民生；而中緬油氣管道則實現(xiàn)跨境互聯(lián)，帶動了緬甸石油化工產(chǎn)業(yè)發(fā)展，在推動東南亞區(qū)域經(jīng)濟發(fā)展乃至更廣泛領(lǐng)域互利合作中具有“標桿效應(yīng)”。

不僅如此，如今在中國，也可以看到，越來越多具有緬甸風情的建筑拔地而起；緬甸各式特色菜肴、瓜果、珠寶不斷走進中國各大超市；到中國求學、工作或生活的緬甸友人越來越多……借助東博會這一國際平臺，緬甸擴大了其在中國的知名度，讓中國人更加了解緬甸的真實面貌，也讓更多“緬甸元素”得以在中國遍地開花，用成果為中緬合作書寫了優(yōu)美的注腳。

正如緬甸副總統(tǒng)吳年吞所說：“中國—東盟博覽會提供了一個雙方互訪的平臺，東博會期間有大量的商機，雙邊貿(mào)易關(guān)系和地區(qū)貿(mào)易關(guān)系得以促進。東博會給各國的企業(yè)提供了一個絕佳的平臺和機遇，讓他們得以在這個平臺上展示自己的產(chǎn)品，并接入全球市場?！?/p>

東博會主題國機遇之門打開時，緬甸只用4天便還給東博會一個萬眾矚目的精彩。同時，通過緬甸擔任東博會主題國的精彩表現(xiàn)，還可以看到，正在加速開放的緬甸變得更加成熟、穩(wěn)健。從曾經(jīng)的神秘佛國，到如今的“東盟明日之星”，揭開神秘面紗的緬甸正在對外開放中向世人翩翩而來，并在各方贊譽中一如既往地奏響東博會的凱歌。

When it comes to Myanmar, what will come into your mind then? Theravada, smile, Great Golden Stupa and countless stupa or priceless jades…

Myanmar is perhaps little-known in most eyes. In recent years, however, the country’s mysterious veil has been gradually uncovered and its charm shines at the CAEXPO due to its open development.

At the 9thCAEXPO in 2012, Myanmar, as the country of honor, held a series of communications to have the country widely known and to better ASEAN-China cooperation.

Shining at CAEXPO

At the 9thCAEXPO, Myanmar played the role of the country of honor for the first time. It increased cooperation in trade and investment with China and other ASEAN countries, thus enhancing its own influence. In order to prepare well for the 9thCAEXPO, Myanmar has made a lot of efforts and expected this gathering for a long time.

“As the mechanism requires that each of 10 ASEAN countries plays the role of the country of honor at annual CAEXPO in turn, Myanmar has waited for this opportunity for about 10 years, and we are so proud of this occasion!” Then President of Myanmar U Thein Sein told the reporter at 9thCAEXPO in 2012, when a group of wonderful activities were held to show the charm and business opportunities of Myanmar to the public,fully expressing the vision of CAEXPO — win-win cooperation.

High-level events express charm. As to the country of honor, a group of high-level events function as the window to showcase its national image and business opportunities, as well as the best channel to boost cooperation with other countries in the region. Therefore,all walks of life in Myanmar attached great importance to this role of the country of honor. Then President of Myanmar U Thein Sein headed a delegation to attend the Expo. During the Expo, a series of high-level activities like the roundtable gathering Myanmar’s state leaders and Chinese enterprises’ CEOs, Golden Myanmar— Myanmar Promotion Conference, and the City of Charm Exhibition. At the opening ceremony of the City of Charm Exhibition, the minute then President of Myanmar U Thein Sein and then Vice Chinese President Xi Jinping pressed the button, the Golden Myanmar Exhibition began unveiling, accompanied by a piece of beautiful Myanmar’s folk music and a video showing communications between Myanmar and China on the screen, highlighting the Myanmar’s unique features and the time-honored friendship between the two countries.

Commodity exhibition has always been the focal part of CAEXPO. At such a good occasion, Myanmar proactively expanded the exhibition scale with focus on agricultural products and food, jade jewelries, timber and wooden products, and handcrafts, and also introduced its local competitive enterprises in the brand exhibition area.Meanwhile, to enlarge its national influence, Myanmar organized its company delegates to attend agriculture exhibition, light industry exhibition, and the 1stASEAN Coffee Exhibition, where Myanmar’s coffee products are popular with Chinese consumers.

Through these activities, Myanmar gained some cooperation projects with other countries in the region.At the jade jewelry promotion conference, delegates from Myanmar’s Ministry of Mines and the jewelry association introduced the jade jewelry market in Myanmar and the know-how about jade appreciation to the Chinese jewelry companies and other jewelry fans, thus enhancing industrial communication and cooperation between the two sides. At the Myanmar Promotion Conference,Myanmar’s officials introduced Myanmar’s economic state quo, investment policies and business opportunities.Myanmar and Guangxi (China) signed MoUs on the exploration and development of tin and lead, fisheries farming and agricultural development, pragmatically boosting ASEAN-China cooperation overall.

“Myanmar enjoys very good natural conditions and abundant labor, which lays a solid ground for the development of manufacturing. That said, we lack capital,technology and manpower resources, so we have to attract foreign investment,” said then President of Myanmar U Thein Sein. At CAEXPO, Myanmar presented a brandnew image to the public and achieved much cooperation through communications with other countries.

Increasing Myanmar-China cooperation

Myanmar is abundant in tourism, forest, jades and natural gas and petroleum. With Myanmar’s brand new image shown at CAEXPO, the participants from all over the world are attracted by Myanmar’s charm and business opportunities. Taking CAEXPO as the start point,Myanmar-China cooperation and exchanges are also expanding.

It is said that, since 2012, a group of cooperation projects between Myanmar and Guangxi have been launched,including sisal hemp plantation, trial demonstration project of high-yield hybrid rice, corn seed production,and Hami melon plantation. Besides, Guangxi Hydroelectric Construction Bureau invested US$ 81.69 million in the industrial park and deep-water port in Kyaukpyu, Myanmar, significantly improving local people’s employment and life. The gas and oil pipeline was built to connect China and Myanmar, boosting Myanmar’s oil and chemical industry and playing the role of benchmark in the regional economic development and mutually beneficial cooperation in a wider area.

More and more things with Myanmar features can be found in today’s China, like buildings, foods, fruits and jades, and so can more and more students or workers from Myanmar. CAEXPO makes Myanmar widely known in China and brings more Myanmar’s elements into China, drawing a beautiful picture for Myanmar-China cooperation.

Then vice president of Myanmar Nyan Tun said,“CAEXPO provides a platform for reciprocal visits and enormous business opportunities to promote business ties with China and other countries in the region. It also offers a great opportunity for all participating countries’ companies to show their own products and to go global.”
