Jack is a 10-year-old boy.He is in Grade 4 at a primary school.But he does not like English.He does not like maths.He does not like music.He does not like art.He does not like science.He does not like PE.He only likes playing.He usually does not do his homework.And he oftentells lies.

杰克是一個(gè)10 歲的小男孩。他在一所小學(xué)讀四年級(jí)。但是他不喜歡英語。他不喜歡數(shù)學(xué)。他不喜歡音樂。他不喜歡美術(shù)。他不喜歡科學(xué)。他不喜歡體育。他只喜歡玩。他通常不做家庭作業(yè)。他還經(jīng)常說謊。

One day, Jack’s fatherboughtalie detector robot.The lie detector robot willslappeople when they lie.

一天，杰克的父親買了一臺(tái)測(cè)謊機(jī)器人。測(cè)謊機(jī)器人會(huì)在人們說謊時(shí)打他們一巴掌。

One night, Jack’s fatherdecidedtotestitout at dinner.Jack’s father asked his son, “Jack, what did you do this afternoon?”

一天晚上，杰克的父親決定在晚餐時(shí)測(cè)試一下。杰克的父親問他的兒子：“杰克，你今天下午做了什么？”

Jack answered, “I did some homework.” The robot slapped himat once.Then Jack said, “Ok, Ok, I was at a classmate’s housewatching a movie.”

杰克回答說：“我做了一些家庭作業(yè)?！睓C(jī)器人立刻打了他一巴掌。然后，杰克說：“好吧，好吧，我在同學(xué)家看電影?！?/p>

Jack’s father asked, “What movie did you watch?”

杰克的父親問：“你看了什么電影？”

Jack answered, “Toy Story.” The robot slapped Jackagain.Then, Jack said, “Ok, Ok, we were fishing by theseaside.”

杰克回答：“《玩具總動(dòng)員》。”機(jī)器人又打了杰克一巴掌。然后，杰克說：“好吧，好吧，我們?cè)诤＿呩烎~?！?/p>

Dad said, “What? You were fishing by the seaside?At your age, I didn’t even go to the seaside.”This timethe robot slapped the father.

爸爸說：“什么？你在海邊釣魚？我在你這個(gè)年紀(jì)，甚至沒有去過海邊。”這次，機(jī)器人打了父親一巴掌。

At this, Jack’s motherlaughedand said, “But at your age,I went to the seaside.And I often swam in the sea with my good friendsat the weekends.” What happened this time? Can youguess? The robot slapped the mother!
