完全倒裝,如:Here came Emmons.
部分倒裝,如:Never did Emmons expect it.
接著,結(jié)合學(xué)生以前接觸過的倒裝句及對(duì)以上例子的觀察,師生共同探討,歸納出如下一些完全倒裝和部分倒裝的語法規(guī)則。
here, there, now, then, out, in, up, down, away放句首,句子應(yīng)完全倒裝。
not... until..., not... until...位于句首,主句的謂語動(dòng)詞部分倒裝,從句不倒裝。
hardly, never, nor, seldom, little, rarely, scarcely等含有否定意義的副詞或連詞位于句首時(shí),引起部分倒裝。
[評(píng)析] 通過比較,學(xué)生發(fā)現(xiàn)了倒裝句和正常語序句子的不同;通過探究,學(xué)生發(fā)現(xiàn)了完全倒裝和部分倒裝兩種不同形式倒裝句的特點(diǎn);通過師生共同探討,學(xué)生歸納出了倒裝句的語法規(guī)則。這樣的教學(xué)使學(xué)生聚精會(huì)神,不但達(dá)到激趣、誘思的目的,更加深了學(xué)生對(duì)知識(shí)的理解。
四、體驗(yàn)和鞏固
語法教學(xué)要及時(shí)體驗(yàn),當(dāng)場(chǎng)鞏固,讓學(xué)生在大量的語言實(shí)踐中熟悉語法規(guī)則,正確運(yùn)用語法知識(shí),從而提高學(xué)生的語用能力。有了前面的探究和歸納,此時(shí)給他們適當(dāng)?shù)木毩?xí)很有必要,如改寫句子、翻譯練習(xí)、文章潤(rùn)色等由淺入深的操練。操練中學(xué)生不但體驗(yàn)到不同形式的語法練習(xí),而且在此過程中也鞏固了所學(xué)語法內(nèi)容。語法課離不開體驗(yàn)和鞏固,在欣賞、感悟、探索、探究之后的體驗(yàn)和鞏固能夠讓學(xué)生動(dòng)口、動(dòng)手、動(dòng)情、動(dòng)腦,為之后把所學(xué)語法用于實(shí)踐交流打好基礎(chǔ)。
(一)改寫句子
筆者出示下面兩個(gè)正常語序的句子,要求學(xué)生改寫成倒裝句。
1. Emmons could hardly believe that he lost the gold medal again.
—Hardly could Emmons believe that he lost the gold medal again.
2. We were so thrilled to see three Five-starred Red Flag rising that our eyes were filled with tears.
—So thrilled were we to see three Five-starred Red Flag rising that our eyes were filled with tears.
(二)翻譯練習(xí)
請(qǐng)學(xué)生用倒裝句翻譯以下三個(gè)句子:
1.山頂有一座古老的寺廟。
2.那記號(hào)很小,我?guī)缀蹩床坏健?/p>
3.直到河里所有的魚都死了,村民們才意識(shí)到污染是多么的嚴(yán)重。
(答案分別為:1. On the top of the hill stands an old temple. 2. So small was the mark that I could hardly see it. 3. Not until all the fish died in the river did the villagers realize how serious the pollution was.)
(三)文章潤(rùn)色
教師發(fā)給學(xué)生一份關(guān)于描述搶劫事件的材料,要求學(xué)生根據(jù)先前對(duì)倒裝句語法規(guī)則的歸納將材料中的相關(guān)句子改寫成倒裝句。
① A car came here.
② I had never seen such a fashionable car.
③ An old couple came out.
④ A young man robbed them of their bag in no time.
⑤ The attack was so sudden that they had no time to escape.
⑥ Some people did not know what happened until the police came.
⑦ The man was not only caught, but also was sent to prison.
潤(rùn)色后
① Here came a car.
② Never. had I seen such a fashionable car.
③ out came an old temple
④ In no time did a young man rob them of their bag had no time to escape.
⑥ Not until the police came did some people know what happened.
⑦ Not only was the man caught, but also was sent to prison.
[評(píng)析] 學(xué)生在此環(huán)節(jié)體驗(yàn)了大量倒裝句的語言材料,增強(qiáng)了語感,為真實(shí)的交際做好了準(zhǔn)備。多樣化的課堂操練形式讓學(xué)生從豐富的課堂活動(dòng)中,從不同的角度體驗(yàn)和掌握語言項(xiàng)目。學(xué)生通過參與課堂互動(dòng),既運(yùn)用了語法知識(shí),又培養(yǎng)了交際能力。
五、運(yùn)用與分享
通過欣賞、探索和體驗(yàn),學(xué)生頭腦中已經(jīng)有了一定的倒裝句概念。在此基礎(chǔ)上再引導(dǎo)學(xué)生運(yùn)用倒裝句進(jìn)行寫作,學(xué)以致用,進(jìn)一步鞏固所學(xué)知識(shí)。教師請(qǐng)學(xué)生寫一篇描述某人物給自己帶來正能量的文章,內(nèi)容應(yīng)包括該人物的性格、品質(zhì)及如何激勵(lì)我們努力學(xué)習(xí)的,并且要求學(xué)生在寫作時(shí)合理使用新學(xué)的倒裝句。
一方面為了幫助掌握不牢固的學(xué)生,另一方面也為了讓學(xué)生掌握得更全面,更系統(tǒng),筆者在幻燈片上呈現(xiàn)以下與倒裝句有關(guān)的副詞或連詞:“here (there, now, then), out, in, up, down, away”, “never, nor, seldom, little, hardly, rarely, scarcely”, “not until...”, “not only... but also...”, “so... that...”。
等學(xué)生完成寫作之后,筆者抽取一兩份學(xué)生的優(yōu)秀習(xí)作進(jìn)行展示,供學(xué)生取長(zhǎng)補(bǔ)短,共同提高。
[評(píng)析] 以書面表達(dá)的形式讓學(xué)生運(yùn)用倒裝句,這樣既讓學(xué)生回顧、總結(jié)了所學(xué)的語言知識(shí),又給了學(xué)生足夠的自由發(fā)揮和創(chuàng)造性運(yùn)用語言的空間。而分享優(yōu)秀的作品,既使學(xué)生所學(xué)的語法知識(shí)得到鞏固,又讓學(xué)生有學(xué)有所成的成就感,體驗(yàn)到學(xué)習(xí)的快樂,從而激發(fā)他們進(jìn)行更深層次的自主探究學(xué)習(xí)。
CASES模式下的高中英語語法教學(xué),讓學(xué)生在真實(shí)的語境中欣賞語法結(jié)構(gòu),探索語法規(guī)則,體驗(yàn)語言材料,分享語言成果,從而掌握語法知識(shí),是一種比較高效的語法教學(xué)。簡(jiǎn)言之,讓學(xué)生從頭到尾始終積極參與課堂教學(xué),才能真正實(shí)現(xiàn)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)能力的提高。
