I Still Believe that I'll See Him Again

我一直相信有天堂，但爸爸去世后，我很難再依靠那樣的理解了。我曾是爸爸的乖乖女，他的去世讓我在情感上亂了套：過(guò)去我可以閉上眼，想象他在哪兒。但人生第一次，我在地圖上不能確定他的位置。即使我在大學(xué)上了天文課，用望遠(yuǎn)鏡我也找不到他。他不在了，那比我想象的還要真實(shí)得多。這真的動(dòng)搖了我的信念，我必須有一個(gè)更深刻地理解——到底什么是“天堂”。我到現(xiàn)在還在努力的去理解。但我仍然每天都跟他說(shuō)話(huà)，我仍然相信我會(huì)再見(jiàn)到他。

I've always believed in①believe in 信仰；信任heaven. But it was so hard to lean on that understanding after my father passed away. I was a Daddy's girl. His death was an emotional②emotional 英 [?'m???(?)n(?)l] 美 [?'mo??nl] adj. 情緒的；易激動(dòng)的；感動(dòng)人的earthquake. I could close my eyes and imagine he was somewhere else. But for the first time in my life, I couldn't pinpoint③pinpoint 英 ['p?np??nt] 美 ['p?np??nt] vt. 查明；精確地找到；準(zhǔn)確描述his location on a map. And even though I'd taken an astronomy④astronomy 英 [?'str?n?m?] 美 [?'strɑn?mi] n. 天文學(xué)class in college, I couldn't find him with a telescope⑤telescope 英 ['tel?sk??p] 美 ['t?l?skop] n. 望遠(yuǎn)鏡；縮疊式旅行袋. His absence⑥absence 英 ['?bs(?)ns] 美 ['?bsns] n. 沒(méi)有；缺乏；缺席was so much more real than I thought it would be. And it really shook my beliefs⑦belief 英 [b?'li?f] 美 [b?'lif] n. 相信，信賴(lài)；信仰；教義. I had to form a deeper understanding of what exactly "heaven" means. And I'm still working on that. But I do still talk to him everyday. And I still believe that I'll see him again.
