初中英語同義詞組辨析

在初中階段有幾個譯為“一點兒”的短語，它們分別是a little、 a bit、 a little bit和 kind of。這幾個短語的意思相同，使用方法相近，有時可以互換，但又有各自獨特的用法，很多同學(xué)會模糊不清，從而判斷失誤。其實，如果同學(xué)們從它們所修飾的詞性角度來區(qū)分就簡單得多了。

一、幾個詞的相同之處

a little， a bit， a little bit和 kind of都可做程度副詞，表示“稍微、一點兒”的意思，修飾形容詞，它們之間可以互換。

例1： She felt a little nervous when she was told to give a talk on how to learn English.

當(dāng)她被告知要做一個關(guān)于如何學(xué)習(xí)英語的演講時，她感到有一點兒緊張。

例2：My son is usually a bit

worried before exams.

我兒子在考試前總會感到有一點擔(dān)心。

例3：Today is a little bit hot， would you please not close the door ？

今天有一點兒熱，你能不關(guān)上門嗎？

例4：The girl thinks the tiger she saw last week is kind of scary.

那個女孩認為上周看到的老虎有一點兒嚇人。

二、它們的不同之處

1. a little， a bit可以修飾形容詞的比較級。

例5：His father seems to be a little better today than yesterday.

他父親看起來比昨天要好一點兒。

例6：My dog used to be a bit heavier than it is now.

我的狗過去要比現(xiàn)在胖一點兒。

2. a little可以直接修飾不可數(shù)名詞，a bit修飾不可數(shù)名詞時要用a bit of。

例7：You neednt go shopping this afternoon， there is still a little meat left in the fridge.

你今天下午不用去購物了，冰箱里還有一點兒肉。

例8：Could you please pass me a bit of salt？ The soup isnt salty enough.

你能幫我遞過來一點兒鹽嗎？湯不夠咸。

3. a bit和a little用在否定句時，意思則完全相反。not a bit=not at all，意為“一點也不”；not a little=very much，意為“十分”“非?！薄?/p>

例9：He didnt feel a little hungry.=He felt very hungry.他感到非常餓。

例10：He didnt feel a bit hungry.=He didnt feel hungry at all.他一點兒也不餓。

三、與其他幾個類似短語的用法區(qū)分

1. 在單項選擇中，經(jīng)常會出現(xiàn)這四個選項a little、little、a few和few。其中，a little和little修飾不可數(shù)名詞，a few和few修飾可數(shù)名詞。a little和a few表示肯定含意，意思是“有一點兒”；little和few表示否定含意，意思是“幾乎沒有，很少”。

例11：He felt lonely because he had friends here.

他感到孤獨因為他在這幾乎沒有朋友。

例12：A few young people are playing happily in the park.

幾個年青人在公園里開心地玩著。

例13：The five-year-old boy can speak a little English.

這個5歲的小男孩會說一點兒英語。

例14：I have little money， so I can buy nothing now.

我?guī)缀鯖]有錢了，所以我現(xiàn)在什么也買不了。

2. 有時，kind of 、a kind of、kinds of也會成為混淆同學(xué)們視線的選項。a kind of意思是“一種”， kinds of意思是“各種”。

例15：I saw kinds of beautiful birds on the island.

我在島上看到各種各樣美麗的鳥。

例16：This is a kind of fruit.

這是一種水果。
