近日,曼谷文華東方酒店剛剛完成作家翼樓與花園翼樓的重新設(shè)計(jì)與翻修改造工程,新設(shè)作家翼樓的皇家大套房和花園翼樓的12套露臺(tái)陽(yáng)光套房。作家翼樓建于1876年,曾為“東方酒店”,擁有6間臥室的皇家大套房盤(pán)踞在整個(gè)作家翼樓的一層,由一間皇家套房、一間大使套房及三間獨(dú)立客房組成,可謂“套房中的套房”。全新的花園套房是現(xiàn)代室內(nèi)設(shè)計(jì)理念與殖民地時(shí)期的獨(dú)特遺產(chǎn)及泰國(guó)文化相結(jié)合的典范。經(jīng)過(guò)改造,作家酒廊重回19世紀(jì)末的經(jīng)典設(shè)計(jì)風(fēng)格,其中包括四間以著名作家命名的沙龍,分別為約瑟夫·康拉德、薩默塞特·毛姆、埃爾·科沃德和詹姆斯·米切納,他們都曾是酒店的明星賓客,酒廊中的墻壁上掛滿了他們?cè)谀莻€(gè)時(shí)代的照片及著作中的經(jīng)典語(yǔ)句,并且展示著由他們簽名的圖書(shū)。
Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok, recently completed a renovation of its historic Authors' and Garden Wings. The project includes significant room redesign with the creation of new suites, including a Grand Royal Suite in the Authors' Wing and 12 suites with balconies in the Garden Wing. The six-bedroom Grand Royal Suite occupies the entire first floor of the renowned Authors' Wing, which was the original Oriental Hotel, built in 1876. The suite has private elevator access and incorporates the one-bedroom Royal Suite and the adjoining two-bedroom Ambassador Suite with two bedrooms, as well as three separate guestrooms. The new Garden Suites aim to combine contemporary interior design with unique colonial inspired heritage and Thai culture. The Authors' Lounge has been restored to its classic late-nineteenth-century design and includes four salons named after famous authors who were guests of the hotel: Joseph Conrad, Somerset Maugham, No?l Coward and James Michener. The lounge includes images of the authors juxtaposed with scenes taken at the hotel during those eras, quotations from their books, several signed books on display.
