PRAY FOR GOOD FORTUNE

In contrast to today's fashion of slimness, plumpness used to be regarded as an ideal of feminine beauty in some periods of Chinese history, particularly in the Tang dynasty (618-907). Inspired by this, Chinese artist Huang Wei designed an image of a Chinese female with a fairly plump fi gure and a charmingly innocent look, who is devoutly praying with folded hands. The designer and her team have turned the portrait into figurines using materials like plaster, clay and cement, which are intended to be thought-provoking. The gesture of praying with clasped hands, a ritual of Buddhism, is intended to bring good luck and success. The works, given the name of Charm - Oriental Female, are to be exhibited in Hangzhou in March.

祈愿美好

不同于喜歡骨感美的現(xiàn)代人，東方女性在古代以雍容豐腴為美。中國(guó)藝術(shù)家黃薇設(shè)計(jì)的媚寶寶，是一個(gè)形態(tài)圓潤(rùn)的東方寶貝，小妞以虔誠(chéng)之態(tài)雙手合十，憨態(tài)可掬。設(shè)計(jì)者通過(guò)石膏、陶瓷、水泥、油泥等不同的材質(zhì)，讓媚寶寶給予大家更多的思考。雙手合十這一姿態(tài)則寓意著吉祥與順利，體現(xiàn)東方精神。媚·東方之妞將于3月在杭州展出。

THE 2016 APRlL lN ULURU

During the April of 2016, Uluru will host a wave of festivals. From 1st April, “Field of Light” will be on display on Uluru. After that the Tjungu Festival, Hinterland Celebration, Hinterland Marathon, and Astronomy Weekend will follow. For 2016, a desert yoga festival and a healthy weekend are newly added.

At the beginning of this enjoyable April, Bruce Munro's “Field of Light” on Uluru will reach its largest scale. Depending on the solar power upon the red rock, the installation will display an artistic piece of light in Uluru.

Then from April 22nd to 25th, a 3-day cultural ceremony - the Tjungu Festival, includes activities of culture, movies, art, sports, music, and cuisines. This time, the lately added “desert yoga festival” from April 24th to 29th will let participants feel the connection with the natural power and the indigenous cultures.

烏魯魯?shù)?月節(jié)

4月1日， “原野星光藝術(shù)裝置展”將在澳洲紅土中心烏魯魯展出，緊隨其后的是烏魯魯文化慶典Tjungu節(jié)、內(nèi)陸慶典、內(nèi)陸馬拉松及天文周末，還有今年新增加的沙漠夢(mèng)幻瑜伽節(jié)和烏魯魯健康周末。整個(gè)4月，烏魯魯都將沉浸在歡樂(lè)的節(jié)日氣氛里。

國(guó)際著名燈光藝術(shù)家Bruce Munro所設(shè)計(jì)的原野星光藝術(shù)裝置展，是目前最大的原野星光藝術(shù)裝置展，依靠太陽(yáng)能的裝置，以“世界中心”烏魯魯大紅石為背景，呈現(xiàn)一場(chǎng)光的唯美藝術(shù)展。

已成功舉辦了兩屆的烏魯魯文化慶典Tjungu節(jié)將于4月22日至25日展開(kāi)。這個(gè)原住民文化慶典將從早到晚，包括文化、電影、藝術(shù)、體育運(yùn)動(dòng)、音樂(lè)、美食與時(shí)尚等多個(gè)方面的活動(dòng)。4月24日至29日舉辦的沙漠夢(mèng)幻瑜伽節(jié)是今年新推出的內(nèi)容，旨在通過(guò)瑜伽、舞蹈和冥想，讓參加者與自然的力量相連結(jié)，體驗(yàn)并認(rèn)知這片土地的神圣的原住民文化。
