一個(gè)賺錢供養(yǎng)一家老小的父親，將自己的一切時(shí)間都花在了進(jìn)修、升職、再進(jìn)修的無限循環(huán)之中。最終，他如愿以償?shù)乜粗胰诉^上了更為優(yōu)質(zhì)的生活。但是，當(dāng)這位父親決定放下重?fù)?dān)停下來歇歇腳的時(shí)候，他再也沒能見到隔天的太陽(yáng)。哪一種用生命換來的財(cái)富比得上活著與自己的親人十指緊扣？或許，有一種不幸，叫財(cái)富……

Father was a hardworking man who delivered bread as a living to support his wife and three children. He spent all his evenings after work attending classes， hoping to improve himself so that he could one day find a better paying job. Except for Sundays， Father hardly ate a meal together with his family. He worked and studied very hard because he wanted to provide his family with the best money could buy.

Whenever the family complained that he was not spending enough time with them， he reasoned that he was doing all this for them. But he often 1）yearned to spend more time with his family.

The day came when the examination results were announced. To his joy， Father passed， and 2）with distinctions too！ Soon after， he was offered a good job as a senior 3）supervisor which paid handsomely. Like a dream come true， Father could now afford to provide his family with life’s little luxuries like nice clothing， fine food and vacation abroad.

However， the family still did not get to see father for most of the week. He continued to work very hard， hoping to be promoted to the position of manager. In fact， to make himself a worthy candidate for the promotion， he enrolled for another course in the open university.

Again， whenever the family complained that he was not spending enough time with them， he reasoned that he was doing all this for them. But he often yearned to spend more time with his family.

每當(dāng)家人埋怨父親沒有花足夠的時(shí)間和他們待在一起時(shí)，他會(huì)解釋說自己所做的一切都是為了家人。但是他也時(shí)?？释ǜ嗟臅r(shí)間和家人待在一起。

公布考試成績(jī)的那一天到了。父親欣喜地發(fā)現(xiàn)自己通過了，而且還是以優(yōu)異的成績(jī)通過了！不久之后，父親得到了一份高級(jí)主管的好工作，報(bào)酬頗豐。猶如美夢(mèng)成真一般，父親現(xiàn)在已經(jīng)能為家人提供生活中的小奢侈了，比如漂亮衣服、精致的食物以及到國(guó)外度假。

不過，每周的大部分時(shí)間，家人還是見不到父親。他還是很努力地工作，希望能夠晉升到經(jīng)理的位置。事實(shí)上，父親為了讓自己成為晉升的得力人選，他在公開大學(xué)報(bào)了另一門課程。

再一次，每當(dāng)家人埋怨父親沒有花足夠的時(shí)間和他們待在一起時(shí)，他會(huì)解釋說自己所做的一切都是為了家人。但是他也時(shí)常渴望花更多的時(shí)間和家人待在一起。
