《藍色茉莉》是好萊塢名導(dǎo)伍迪·艾倫在2013年交出的作品。這次老頭兒還是把目光轉(zhuǎn)回到了他最熟悉的紐約，講述了他最熟悉的美國故事。

故事在兩條時間線的交錯切換中緩緩展開：一條線是光鮮的過去——影片的女主人公茉莉本是紐約上流社會的一位貴婦，過著優(yōu)渥奢華的生活。但在得知丈夫哈爾的出軌后，她失去了理智，向FBI舉報了丈夫在商業(yè)上的犯罪行為，致使哈爾入獄并在獄中自殺，繼子丹尼憤而出走，家中財產(chǎn)全被沒收，茉莉一夜之間從云端墜入深淵。另一條線是困窘的現(xiàn)在——茉莉走投無路，只好去投靠住在舊金山的妹妹金吉，但習(xí)慣了養(yǎng)尊處優(yōu)的她卻始終無法適應(yīng)普通人的生活，在市井瑣碎中顯得格格不入。過去與現(xiàn)實的落差讓她游走在精神崩潰的邊緣，常會神經(jīng)兮兮地自言自語。當(dāng)“東山再起”的美夢成為泡影，她徹底崩潰……

有影評說，這“也許是伍迪最殘酷的一部電影”，片中處處都是對以茉莉為代表的中產(chǎn)階級的黑色諷刺，對茉莉落魄后的虛榮與自欺欺人更是極盡嘲弄：已經(jīng)一貧如洗，仍要坐頭等艙、拎著LV的行李箱、豪爽地給出租車司機大筆小費；不得不自食其力，卻對低微的工作嗤之以鼻，一心想著要做室內(nèi)設(shè)計師；為有錢丈夫的背叛而傷心欲絕，但還是絞盡腦汁、不惜撒下連篇謊言想再釣一個金龜婿……她始終活在欺騙與自我欺騙的世界里，最終完全迷失了自己。這個充滿悲劇色彩的人物形象可笑、可憐又可悲，看罷讓人百感交雜。

“精靈女王”凱特·布蘭切特在片中的表演達到了爐火純青的境界，把過氣名媛曾經(jīng)的光鮮靚麗和落魄后的敏感、神經(jīng)質(zhì)這兩種狀態(tài)演繹得十分到位。布蘭切特也憑著此片中的精湛演技攬獎無數(shù)，并一舉奪得了今年奧斯卡金像獎的最佳女主角獎。

Ginger： Oh， only because you just told me you had to sell everything.

Jasmine： Look. Look， look， look. These are used， old suitcases. See， with my initials. Who’d want them？ You know， I sold what jewels and furs I could hide from 3）Uncle Sam. （Ginger’s kids are playing toy guns.）

Ginger： Kids， stop it， come on！

（Ginger’s boyfriend Chili and his friends are watching TV， making loud noises， while Jasmine is trying to study.）

Jasmine： Is it possible， without ruining any of your fun， that you could lower the TV a bit？

Chili： Hey， Jasmine， why don’t you stop working for a little bit？ Have a beer.

Jasmine： Believe me， I wish I could.

Chili： What kind of work are you doing？

Jasmine： I’m trying to s...work a computer， but it seems I have no 6）aptitude for it. Well， my...my goal is to study interior decorating online.

Chili： Why don’t you just go to decorator school？

Jasmine： Well， I have to use my days to work and pay my way. As Hal said， “It’s not the money， it’s the money.”Chili： Yeah， OK， but， you know， life ain’t all work and no play， right？ I mean， Ginger says between work and school， you’re cracking up.

Ginger： Hey， why don’t you shut up？

奇立：好吧，可你也不能只工作不娛樂吧？金吉說你忙于工作和學(xué)習(xí)，都快崩潰了。

金吉：喂，你就不能閉嘴嗎？

Jasmine： No， no. I’ll admit， it’s been very 7）trying， but I’m determined to make something of myself.

Chili： So you don’t like working with the dentist？

Jasmine： No， I do not.

Chili： Well， Ginger said you’re not used to working a job.

Jasmine： Well， in that respect， I was very fortunate.

茉莉：你們要是把這當(dāng)夜店，我真的……真的沒法學(xué)習(xí)，真的，我沒法集中精神。金吉：好了，好了，好了。

（After Chili and his friends leave）

Ginger： Jesus， it’s a mess.

Jasmine： Oh， I’m sorry. Ginger， I’m really...I don’t...I don’t know what came...I’m so...over me. But I have told you before， your taste in men， it leaves a lot to be desired.

Ginger： Yeah， I know these are not your kind of guys.

Jasmine： I mean， God， don’t you wanna meet some decent man？ You know， someone who can take you out of this...this...

Ginger： What？ This hole？ Yeah， I know what you think of it here.

Jasmine： I mean， you’ve got two kids. I mean， you can do better than Chili and his drunken loser friends.

Ginger： If I thought I could do better， I would， but so far no one’s beating my door down. You know， he’s sexy and he doesn’t steal.

Jasmine： OK， OK. Do you always have to make those stupid sarcastic 9）digs？

Dwight： Yeah， it， I don’t know， might just be an 10）inflated ego， but I think I’d make a good congressman. I grew up in San Francisco. I know California. I like challenges. You from out here？

Jasmine： New York. 11）Park Avenue. You know， when my husband passed away， I mean， naturally I was very upset， so I decided to come out here and start a new life for myself.

Dwight： What did he do？

Jasmine： He was a surgeon.

Dwight： Hm. God， that must be incredibly stressful.

Jasmine： No， I...I mean， he had a heart attack. I’m sure that’s what gave it to him.
