Woman Ordered to Remove Honeymoon Pictures from Facebook Signifies Change in the Way We Connect with Others

Social networking websites like Facebook， twitter， Sina Weibo， Renren， and Wechat have revolutionized and changed the way we connect with friends and family， completely. This outbreak of social networking sites has also helped in exacerbating unrest in countries like Egypt， Tunisia， and Lybia and has also forced governments to introduce news laws and regulation for the use of such networking sites. A recent example of how it has changed family relationship even between husband and wife was seen in Italy when a court ordered a woman to remove her honeymoon pictures from her Facebook account.

Court in Italy has ordered a woman to remove her honeymoon photos from Facebook following a row with her husband in which he demanded the snaps be taken down as he did not give her permission to make them public. According to The Local， the court in Naples agreed with her husband and could also order her to pay damages to her spouse.

The photos were taken during the couple's honeymoon around ten years ago and include the pair hugging and kissing. In the wife's defense， she said \"the use of social networks is now so advanced that we can consider a Facebook wall to be not unlike a private photo album.\" But the court found that posting of photos on the internet is \"significantly worse\" than any other form of publication as there is no guaranteed privacy by the user.
