The 10th China Fair Jordan was co-hosted by Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, Shanghai Municipal Commission Of Economy and Informatization, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Shanghai Municipal Government, supported by trade promotion agencies in China and in the Near and Middle East area. This year, the fair was organized by Meorient International Exhibition.
The Near and Middle East area covers South-East Europe, Northeast Africa and West Asia, including Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Israel, Syria, Palestine and some neighboring countries. With a total population of 77.5 million, it covers 20% of the total population in the Middle East, and the GDP Per Capita reaches 3,600 dollars. China and the Near and Middle East has long been enjoying a good trade relationship. In 2009, the bilateral trade volume reached 6.5 billion dollars, among which China’s export volume towards the area reached 5.48 billion dollars, increased by 35% than the previous year.
To a great extent, the enormous positive feedback that China Fair Jordan receives is due to the change in the global economic situation and local market demand. With the slowdown of global economy growth in recent years, the Chinese government proposed that China should vigorously explore emerging markets and maintain the stable growth in foreign trade, encouraging export-oriented enterprises to seek for trade partners and to explore emerging markets. As the Middle East market offers great business opportunities through massive reconstruction and has good capacity to pay, it has become a premier emerging market for Chinese export-oriented enterprises.
In 2012, the first session of the 9th China Fair Jordan was held from 9th to 12th September, and the second session from 17th to 20th September in Amman International Exhibition Center in Jordan and proved to be yet another success.
