假如今天是我生命中的最后一天

I will live this day as if it is my last.

And what shall I do with this last precious day which remains in my keeping? First， I will seal up its container of life so that not one drop spills itself upon the sand. I will waste not a moment mourning yesterdays misfortunes， yesterdays defeats， yesterdays aches of the heart， for why should I throw good after bad?

Can sand flow upward in the hour glass? Will the sun rise where it sets and set where it rises? Can I relive the errors of yesterday and right them? Can I call back yesterdays wounds and make them whole? Can I become younger than yesterday? Can I take back the evil that was spoken， the blows that were struck， the pain that was caused? No. Yesterday is buried forever and I will think of it no more.

I will live this day as if it is my last.

And what then shall I do? Forgetting yesterday neither will I think of tomorrow. Why should I throw note after maybe? Can tomorrows sand flow through the glass before todays? Will the sun rise twice this morning? Can I perform tomorrows deeds while standing in todays path? Can I place tomorrows gold in todays purse? Can tomorrows child be born today? Can tomorrows death cast its shadow backward and darken todays joy? Should I concern myself over events which l may never witness? Should I torment myself with problems that may never come to pass? No! Tomorrow lies buried with yesterday， and I will think of it no more.

I will live this day as if it is my last.

This day is all I have and these hours are now my eternity. I greet this sunrise with cries of joy as a prisoner who is reprieved from death. I lift my arms with thanks for this priceless gift of a new day. So too， I will beat upon my heart with gratitude as I consider all who greeted yesterdays sunrise who are no longer with the living today. I am indeed a fortunate man and todays hours are but a bonus， undeserved. Why have I been allowed to live this extra day when others， far better than I， have departed? Is it that they have accomplished their purpose while mine is yet to be achieved? Is this another opportunity for me to become the man I know I can be? Is there a purpose in nature? Is this my day to excel?

I will live this day as if it is my last.

I have but one life and life is naught but a measurement of time. When I waste one I destroy the other. If I waste today I destroy the last page of my life. Therefore， each hour of this day will I cherish for it can never return. It cannot be banked today to be withdrawn on the morrow， for who can trap the wind? Each minute of this day will I grasp with both hands and fondle with love for its value is beyond price. What dying man can purchase another breath though he willingly give all his gold? What price dare I place on the hours ahead? I will make them priceless!

I will live this day as if it is my last.

I will avoid with fury the killers of time. Procrastination I will destroy with action; doubt I will bury under faith; fear I will dismember with confidence. Where there are idle mouths I will listen not; where there are idle hands I will linger not; where there are idle bodies I will visit not. Henceforth I know that to court idleness is to steal food， clothing， and warmth from those I love. I am not a thief. I am a man of love and today is my last chance to prove my love and my greatness.

The duties of today I shall fulfill today. Today I shall fondle my children while they are young; tomorrow they will be gone， and so will I. Today I shall embrace my woman with sweet kisses; tomorrow she will be gone， and so will I. Today I shall lift up a friend in need; tomorrow he will no longer cry for help， nor will I hear his cries. Today I shall give myself in sacrifice and work; tomorrow I will have nothing to give， and there will be none to receive.

I will live this day as if it is my last.

And if it is my last， it will be my greatest monument. This day I will make the best day of my life. This day I will drink every minute to its full. I will savor its taste and give thanks. I will make the every hour count and each minute I will trade only for something of value. I will labor harder than ever before and push my muscles until they cry for relief， and then I will continue. I will make more calls than ever before. I will sell more goods than ever before. I will earn more gold than ever before. Each minute of today will be more fruitful than hours of yesterday. My last must be my best.

I will live this day as if it is my last. And if it is not， I shall fall to my knees and give thanks.

假如今天是我生命中的最后一天。

我要如何利用這最后、最寶貴的一天呢？首先，我要把一天的時(shí)間珍藏好，不讓一分一秒的時(shí)間滴漏。我不會(huì)為昨日的不幸嘆息，過去的已夠不幸，不要再賠上今日的好運(yùn)。

時(shí)光會(huì)倒流嗎？太陽會(huì)西升東落嗎？我可以糾正昨天的錯(cuò)誤嗎？我能撫平昨日的創(chuàng)傷嗎？我能比昨天年輕嗎？一句出口的惡言，一記揮出的拳頭，一切已造成的傷痛，能收回嗎？不能！過去的永遠(yuǎn)過去了，我將不再去想它。

假如今天是我生命中的最后一天。

我該怎么辦呢？忘記昨天，也不要癡想明天。明天是一個(gè)未知數(shù)，為什么要把今天的精力浪費(fèi)在未知的事上？想著明天的種種，今天的時(shí)光也會(huì)白白流逝了。 今早的太陽會(huì)再次升起嗎？走在今天的路上，能做明天的事嗎?我能把明天的金幣放進(jìn)今天的錢袋里嗎？明日瓜熟，今日能蒂落嗎？明天的死亡能將今天的歡樂蒙上陰影嗎？我能杞人憂天嗎？不。明天和昨天一樣被我埋葬。我不再想它。

假如今天是我生命中的最后一天。

這是我僅有的一天，這些小時(shí)是現(xiàn)實(shí)的永恒。我像被赦免死刑的囚犯，用喜悅的淚水擁抱新生的太陽。我舉起雙臂，感謝這無與倫比的一天。當(dāng)我想到昨天和我一 起迎接日出的朋友，今天已不復(fù)存在時(shí)，我為自己的幸存，而感激上蒼。我是無比幸運(yùn)的人，今天的時(shí)光是額外的獎(jiǎng)賞。許多強(qiáng)者都先我而去，為什么我得到這額外的 一天？是不是因?yàn)樗麄円汛蠊Ω娉?，而我尚在途中跋涉？如果這樣，這是不是成就我的一次機(jī)會(huì)，讓我功德圓滿？造物主的安排是否別具匠心？今天是不是我超越他人的機(jī)會(huì)？

假如今天是我生命中的最后一天。

我只有一次生命，而人生也不過是時(shí)間的累積。我若讓今天的時(shí)光白白流逝，就等于毀掉我人生的最后一頁。因此，我珍惜今天的一分一秒，因?yàn)樗鼈儗⒁蝗ゲ粡?fù)返。我無法把今天存入銀行，明天再來取用。時(shí)間像風(fēng)一樣不可捕捉。今天的每一分一秒，我要用雙手捧住，用愛撫摸，因?yàn)樗鼈內(nèi)绱藢氋F。垂死的人用畢生的錢財(cái)都無法換得多一口呼吸。我無法計(jì)算時(shí)間的價(jià)值，它們是無價(jià)之寶。

假如今天是我生命中的最后一天。

我憎恨那些浪費(fèi)時(shí)間的行為。我要摧毀拖延的習(xí)性。我要以真誠埋葬懷疑，用信心驅(qū)趕恐懼。我不聽閑話，不游手好閑，不與不務(wù)正業(yè)的人來往。我終于醒悟到，若是懶惰，無異于從我所愛之人手中竊取食物和衣裳。我不是賊，我有愛心，今天是我最后的機(jī)會(huì)，我要證明我的愛心和偉大。

假如今天是我生命中的最后一天。

今日事今日畢。今天我要趁孩子還小的時(shí)候，多加愛護(hù)，明天他們將離我而去，我也會(huì)離開。今天我要深情地?fù)肀业钠拮樱o她甜蜜的熱吻，明天她會(huì)離去，我也是。今天我要幫助落難的朋友，明天他會(huì)不再求援，我也聽不到他的哀求。今天我要樂于奉獻(xiàn)，因?yàn)槊魈煳覍o法給予，也沒有人來領(lǐng)受了。

假如今天是我生命中的最后一天。

如果這是我的末日，那么它就是我的不朽的紀(jì)念日，我把它當(dāng)成最美好的日子。我要把每分每秒化為甘露，一口一口，細(xì)細(xì)品嘗，滿懷感激。我要每一分鐘都有價(jià)值。我要加倍努力，直到精疲力竭。即使這樣，我還要繼續(xù)努力。我要拜訪更多的客戶，銷售更多的貨物，賺取更多的財(cái)富。今天的每一分鐘都勝過昨天的一個(gè)小時(shí)，最后的也是最好的。

假如今天是我生命中的最后一天。如果不是的話，我要跪倒在上蒼面前，向她表示深深的謝意。
