“詢問消息”與“征求意見”

向人們詢問消息、征求對方的評價(jià)性意見是日常生活中時(shí)常使用的話語,那么在英語中有哪些方式呢?請看下面的歸納:

1.What about…? 口語中最為常用,表示“……怎么樣?”、“對……如何辦?”、“你認(rèn)為……怎么樣(好不好)?”等,常接名詞、代詞或動(dòng)名詞。如:

What about going to the park? 去公園如何(怎么樣)?

What about a cup of coffee? 來杯咖啡好嗎?

美國英語常用How about…? 涵義和用法同What about…? 如:

How about Jack? 杰克好嗎?

2.如果要問對方“覺得……怎么樣?”可以說How do you like…?。如:

——How do you like your new English teacher? 你覺得你們的新英語老師怎么樣?

——Shes very kind. We all like her very much. 很好啊。我們都很喜歡她。

——How do you like Hangzhou? 你對杭州印象如何?

——Its very beautiful!它太美了!

3.如要問“喜歡……的什么?”則最好說What do you like about…? 如:

——What do you like about China? 你喜歡中國的什么呀?

——The people and the food!(中國)人和食物!

4.當(dāng)你想要某人對某人/物做出評價(jià)性意見時(shí),可以說What do you think of/about…? “你以為……怎么樣?”。如:

——What did you think of his speech? 你認(rèn)為他的演講怎么樣?

——I thought it was wonderful. 我認(rèn)為很精彩。

5.如果要對方對某件事作描述或評價(jià)時(shí),則說What is sth. like? “……怎么樣?” 。如:

Whats the weather like today?/Hows the weather today? 今天的天氣怎么樣?

——What was the birthday party of Kate like? 你覺得凱特的生日晚會(huì)怎么樣?

——Wonderful!棒極了!

如果要評價(jià)某人的相貌/人品等,則說What is sb. like? “(你看)……怎么樣?”。如:

——What is Tom like? 湯姆這個(gè)人怎么樣?

——He is tall and thin. 他又高又瘦。

6.詢問某人的工作、學(xué)習(xí)時(shí),可以說How is…? “……怎么樣?”。如:

——How is your new job? 你的新工作如何?

——Great!好得很啊!

7.問某人的身體狀況,可以說 How is sb.? “……身體如何?”。如:

——How is your mother? 你母親身體怎么樣?

——Shes much better now. 她現(xiàn)在好多了。
