Lesson70是人教版初中英語第三冊書中的一課。主要是學(xué)習(xí)一篇閱讀文章“Because It’s There”。它是一篇關(guān)于人類挑戰(zhàn)珠穆朗瑪峰攀登極限的文章。課文按時間順序記敘了歷史上幾位登山者不屈不饒,勇于探索的經(jīng)歷。包括壯志未酬,獻(xiàn)身雪山的喬治#8226;馬洛里(George Mallory),如愿以償?shù)巧现榉宓陌5?8226;蒙希拉里(Edmund Hillary)和登#8226;諾爾蓋(Tenzing Norgay)。
在教這篇課文時我采用了在我校推行的一種新型教學(xué)模式——五步教學(xué)法,即:導(dǎo)、學(xué)、練、結(jié)、清。根據(jù)教材特點,我選擇在多媒體教室上課,用電腦、實物投影、錄音機作為輔助教學(xué)手段。
教學(xué)目標(biāo):
1.要掌握基本的單詞和短語:British, Mount Qomolangma, misty, mist,wonder, Nepal,try to get to the top of Mount Qomolangma, a few hundred kilometers away from..., disappear into the mist, be the first to do something, I wonder..., It’s (not)known+賓語從句……
2.要求學(xué)生能流利地朗讀課文,理解課文。
3.通過課文的學(xué)習(xí),培養(yǎng)學(xué)生勇于探索,勇于挑戰(zhàn)自我的精神。
一、導(dǎo)
由圖片(Mount Qomolangma)引入新課,當(dāng)學(xué)生在屏幕上看到珠穆朗瑪峰時,我會問學(xué)生:Do you know what mountain it is ? How high is it? 然后接著問更深一點的問題:Who can say something about Mount Qomolangma ? 學(xué)生簡單地介紹,然后我再補充介紹珠穆朗瑪峰,從而導(dǎo)入新課。
二、學(xué)、練
學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)和練習(xí)是同時也是交替進(jìn)行的。我分兩部分對課文進(jìn)行教學(xué):
第一部分是對課文內(nèi)容的學(xué)習(xí):
首先問學(xué)生是否知道關(guān)于George Mallory的事情,大部分學(xué)生不太了解,然后我讓學(xué)生帶著問題聽課文錄音,屏幕會顯示學(xué)生聽完后要回答的幾個簡單問題:
1.Is Mount Qomolangma the tallest mountain in the world ?
2.Is George Mallory a professional mountain climber?
3.How many times had he tried to reach the top of the mountain ? And did hemake it?
4.In which year did Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgy finally reach the top of the Mount Qomolangma?
當(dāng)學(xué)生對課文有了初步的了解之后,再請他們打開課本,大聲朗讀課文,此時屏幕會再顯示稍微有點難度的問題。5分鐘閱讀之后回答:
5.Why did Mallory want to climb the most dangerous mountain in the world?
6.Do you like to climb mountains?
7.Do you want to climb Mount Qomolangma in the future? Why?
8.What spirit do you think you should learn from Mallory?
學(xué)生可以小組討論后回答這幾個問題, 通過學(xué)生回答問題8,提出文章的要義:We should learn his spirit of never giving up and his bravery. 同時教師要教育學(xué)生遇到困難要勇于面對,敢于挑戰(zhàn)自我。最后讓學(xué)生熟悉課文中的useful expressions,對重點句型進(jìn)行講解。
第二部分是對文章的拓展學(xué)習(xí):
在“課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)”規(guī)定的教學(xué)任務(wù)的基礎(chǔ)上,讓學(xué)生聯(lián)系實際,運用所學(xué)的語言知識談?wù)勈澜缱罡叻澹约叭祟惖鞘澜缱罡叻宓馁Y料。這項任務(wù)是我在課前布置給學(xué)生的,要求他們在網(wǎng)上查閱有關(guān)珠峰的信息,自己總結(jié),用英文闡述,同時最好有一些圖片的展示。
教學(xué)中,我問道:“After learning the text, I believe that you have known something about Mount Qomolangma, but I want to know more about it. Who can tell me?”很多學(xué)生拿出了自己查閱的資料,積極發(fā)言,其中一位學(xué)生是這樣陳述的:“In 1953, Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay made history as the first people to reach the top of Everest. Now, 50 years later, three sons of Everest’s most celebrated climbers return to the mountain to challenge it again. More than 1,700 people have tried to get to the top of the Mount Qomolangma since Edmund Hillary and Edmund Hillary reached it successfully in 1953. Unluckily, nearly 200 people have lost their lives. Although it’s very dangerous ,with the development of the modern society, many more people want to challenge themselves to climb it.”她準(zhǔn)備得非常充分,語言表達(dá)非常流暢,其他學(xué)生都為她鼓掌。這樣既增強了她學(xué)習(xí)英語的自信心,同時又鼓舞了其他學(xué)生。很多學(xué)生都想把自己查到的信息給老師和全班同學(xué)展示,收到了良好的效果。這一環(huán)節(jié)在實現(xiàn)了口語訓(xùn)練目標(biāo)的同時,又培養(yǎng)了他們敢于發(fā)言的精神。
三、結(jié)
這個環(huán)節(jié)是對本節(jié)課的學(xué)習(xí)總結(jié),不超過5分鐘,讓學(xué)生對本堂課所學(xué)內(nèi)容進(jìn)行提綱式總結(jié)。小結(jié)不僅是簡單的總結(jié),更是暢談收獲,交流感受的環(huán)節(jié),它有利于學(xué)生對所學(xué)知識的鞏固和記憶,是師生間分享成果、交流體驗的良機。在交流碰撞中,不但能加深對所學(xué)知識的理解,而且能張顯個性、開啟心智、拓展視野、升華主題。
學(xué)習(xí)完課文后我問學(xué)生:“I’m very glad all of you did very actively in this lesson. Thank you very much. Who can tell us what you have learnt in this class? Or what’s your harvest in this class?” 某個學(xué)生回答不完整,我便叫其他學(xué)生補充,最后我做了如下總結(jié):
1.After learning the text, we know some information about Mount Qomolangma.
We have learnt some useful expressions, such as: try to get to the top of Mount.
2.Qomolangma, a few hundred kilometers away from…, disappear into the mist, be the first to do something, I wonder…, It’s (not)known+賓語從句…
3. By learning the text, as students, we should learn from Mallory. When we come across some difficulties, we should learn to face them bravely and be brave to challenge them.
四、清
“清”既是達(dá)標(biāo)檢測,也是效果驗收。我用提前準(zhǔn)備好的達(dá)標(biāo)測試題對學(xué)生進(jìn)行達(dá)標(biāo)測試。用時10分鐘左右(包括學(xué)生的做及教師的講評),它是在“結(jié)”的基礎(chǔ)上把所學(xué)知識在技能層面上的一次檢測,它是對本堂課教學(xué)效果的落實性反饋。“清”作為課堂教學(xué)的最后一個環(huán)節(jié),還有利于克服“堂堂欠賬”、“積重難返”的教學(xué)弊病,真正做到“堂堂清”。
下面是我給學(xué)生的一張小測試卷:
一、Vocabulary:

五、思
1. 這節(jié)課是本學(xué)期復(fù)習(xí)單元的內(nèi)容,沒有新的語法知識,所以可以擺脫傳統(tǒng)的課文教學(xué)模式(教新單詞——讀課文——精講課文——做課后習(xí)題),采用開放式教學(xué),讓學(xué)生先學(xué)會一定的語言知識,然后跳出課本,開放思維,上網(wǎng)查找資料,發(fā)揮學(xué)生的創(chuàng)造性,鍛煉學(xué)生的自學(xué)能力。
2. 這節(jié)課有效地運用了多媒體信息技術(shù),實現(xiàn)了網(wǎng)絡(luò)與英語課程的整合,同時,用英語這種語言形式對學(xué)生滲透了德育教育。
3. 我在這節(jié)課上時間把握得不是很好,最后學(xué)生小測試的時間不夠充分,有個別學(xué)生沒有完成,老師就講評了。我希望通過不斷地摸索,使自己的課堂更加完善。
總之,要通過教學(xué)手段的更新,活躍學(xué)生的身心,激發(fā)學(xué)生的求知欲和興趣,達(dá)到感知——理解——共鳴——吸收的課堂教學(xué)效果, 讓學(xué)生享受英語學(xué)習(xí)的樂趣,體會成功的喜悅,形成英語教學(xué)的良好氛圍。 教學(xué)過程中,教師是“導(dǎo)演”,一堂課的成功與否,很大程度上取決于教師的組織、引導(dǎo)水平。教師既要對所教學(xué)科有深厚的基本功,也要有熟練駕馭課堂的組織才能,讓課堂充滿“磁性”,力求每一節(jié)課都interesting,使學(xué)生每天都盼望上這樣的課,切實地提高課堂效果。_____________ (作者單位:齊齊哈爾大學(xué))
