1. It was a beautiful summer. It was hot. Animals hid themselves in the woods or in the caves. But a small donkey was not afraid of the hot sun. He was happily running up and down a hill. 這是一個美麗的夏天，天氣很熱，動物們都熱得躲到樹林或山洞里了，可是有一頭小驢不怕驕陽，快活地在一座小山上跑上跑下。

2. At the moment， a hungry eagle was flying over the mountain looking for a small animal for his lunch. He soon discovered the playful donkey. 這時，有一只饑餓的老鷹在這座小山上空飛來飛去，尋覓小動物充當他的午餐，很快，它發(fā)現(xiàn)了這頭正在玩耍的驢。

3. He remembered he had eaten donkey once， and it was delicious. Then he sat on a big rock of the hill， and greeted the donkey warmly， “What are you doing？” 鷹記得他曾吃過一次驢肉，味道美極了。于是它落在小山的一塊大石頭上，熱情地向驢打招呼：“您這是在干嗎呀？”

4. “I felt it funny to run up and down the hill.” “Why are you not flying in the sky？ It is even more fun to fly.” “我覺得在山上這樣跑來跑去真是太好玩了?！薄翱赡銥槭裁床坏教焐先ワw，那更好玩呀?！?/p>

5. “Me， fly？ It is impossible. When did you see a flying donkey？” “As far as I know， many animals can fly if they want to.” “讓我飛？這簡直是胡鬧，你什么時候見過會飛的驢？”“據(jù)我所知，只要想飛，許多動物都可以做到”。

6. “How can I learn to fly？” “I can teach you.” Both of them soon made a deal. The eagle said he would teach the donkey to fly patiently. “可是我怎么能學會飛呀？”“我可以教你。”他們倆很快達成協(xié)議，鷹說，它將很有耐心地教會驢飛翔。

7. First， the eagle demonstrated a few basic actions， finally he led the donkey to the edge of a cliff. He asked the donkey to follow his example to jump off the cliff. 首先，鷹給驢做了幾個示范動作，最后鷹領著驢來到懸崖邊，要驢模仿他如何從懸崖上向下跳。

8. At last the donkey made up his mind to jump off the cliff. At the bottom of the cliff， the hungry eagle happily filled up his stomach with the fresh and delicious donkey meat. 驢終于下決心跳下峭崖，這只餓鷹在崖底痛痛快快飽餐了一頓鮮美的驢肉。
