With fabrics going to three applications: apparel, home textile and industrial textile, XU grows withhis Glacier Fabrics Co...
Shengze, because of its superiorinvestment environment and well-operateddistribution markets, attracts increasingprovident merchant to come and settlegradually. Mr. Xu Bingzhong is one of them. And the following part is a general interviewof Mr. Xu and his Glacier Fabrics.
In 1998, he chose this city, ShengzeTown, one of the biggest textile industrialclusters in China, and began his own GlacierFabrics Co., Ltd, which mainly specializedin the production of fabrics and lining atthat time. Till 2003, he chose industrialtextile for motors as another direction, whichmade him outstand others in the field ofproducing industrial textile. By the end ofthe second half year of 2007, his new hometextile workshop will be in operation. Tenyears, three enterprises, Mr. Xu Bingzhongaccomplished the rudiment of his textileworld obviously.
Hot Black Film
Being a textile producer, one productthat makes Glacier Fabrics outstand othersis the industrial textiles for motors. As Mr.XU introduced that, before 2002, therewere no Chinese enterprises entering thisfield, due to the weakness of technologyand quality. However, Mr. XU made a tripto Germany, the well-known country for itstop-grade motors as well as its high-qualityindustrial textiles with a precise index offabric thickness, tearing strength and color fastness. Later, Mr. XU established a physics laboratory to do research on the industrialtextiles for motors and its productiontechniques. \"During those two years, nearly100 thousand meter long fabrics were 'wasted'during the process of the experimentalproduction\", Mr. XU explained.
Eventually, in 2005, theGlacier Fabrics realized alarge-scale production ofindustrial textiles, with anannual output of eight millionmeter long, accounting for60% of the total productionability, which were allshipped abroad to Germanycompletely and applied bythe famous motor brands, such as BMW, Benz andAudi. Facing the competitorsin the same industrial field,Mr. XU smiled confidently:\"the knotless package couldreach 3,500-4,000 meter percircle in length, and eachphysical index of fabrics couldpreserve stable in each millionmeter unit. No one in Chinacould do the same. This is ourinnovation, this is our corecompetitiveness! \"
'Point-to-Point'Research Sale
Although the fabrics thatGlacier Fabrics produces aresimilar as that of other textileenterprises in China, such asnylon-cotton, poly-cotton fabrics, polyester-viscose fabrics, and so on, the theme ofweaving- 'Point-to-Point' Research Sale-to aim at the special demand ofclients directly, and then to do researchand exploitation, makes Glacier Fabrics beforemost among others. \"The main importersare from England, Germany, Italy, Spain,F(xiàn)rance, Korea and Poland. Technology is ouradvantage, what we can do is research andexploitation.\" Mr. XU introduced, \"in 2006,the exported fabrics totalized five millionmeter long. Being a fabric supplier is notenough for us. What we are in pursuit of isto cooperate with international top-gradegarment brands, and do research on fabricsproduction technique together. That is theright way.\"
Energy Conservation Environment Protection
When I strolled around the factory tothe eastern part, one stream of man-madecascade caught my attention. I could nothelp appraising this dedicate decoration here. However, the headstream of the cascadedid give me a surprise and a feeling ofadmiration to Mr. XU. Frankly speaking, itwas really hard to tell when I arrived at itsheadstream. At the corner of the westernpart of Glacier Fabrics, there is a smallpool collecting the waste water pouring outfrom the channel. \"That is the source of thecascade\", Mr. XU pointed, \"the water forthe cascade only goes through two levels ofpurification. After the last process, its qualitywould be fine and it then recycles in theproduction without discharging outside.\"
Energy conservation and dischargereduction, as Chinese government declared, are the key points of economical adjustmentand restructure in the year of 2007, andthe textile industry in China, especially forthe dyeing and printing industry, wouldface more challenges and difficultiescomparatively. According to the statistics, nearly 15% of the water for industry accrossthe country was applied in textile enterprises.Domestic textile enterprises would confrontchallenges from their economic cost andbenefit, and challenge their social complianceat the same time.
In 2004, Glacier Fabrics investedtwo million Yuan to reconstruct its energyconservation system, and introduce into theequipment of purifing water circularly, whichwas put into application one year later witha dally reduction amount of 2,000 tons. \"Thewhole purification progress begins with thecollection of polluted water in the west part, then the waste water experiences deposition, filtration and regeneration, till the end in theeast part of the factory the water could bepurified and applied again circularly.\" Mr.XU introduced.
\"Doing business\", Mr. XU smiled: \"is myresponsibility. You will be filled with pleasurewhen they run well. However, this kind ofdelight has nothing to do with profit.\"
