Travel to Pingtan平潭游記

Pingtan is in Fujian Province. It was called “Haitan” in old times. It has a long history of 7，000 years. It is the nearest place to our Taiwan Province.

平潭縣位于福建省東部，古稱“海壇”。平潭是祖國(guó)大陸距離臺(tái)灣島最近的地方。

海上平潭島

Look at the sea from Pingtan Island， the water is sparkling in the sun. The white waves are beating against the rocks on the shore. What a beautiful picture！

在平潭島上望向大海，海面波光粼粼，白浪拍打著岸上的礁石。這是多么美麗的一幅畫啊！

Pingtan Island is also called “Qilin Island”. Because it looks like Qi Lin， a mythical beast in Chinese myth.

平潭島也叫“麒麟島”，因?yàn)樗嗡浦袊?guó)上古神話傳說中的神獸麒麟。

各色海鮮

There are many kinds of seafood here： The fish balls tastes smooth and crispy. The crab meat is excellent. The paella tastes perfectly. I can’t even stop eating them.

這里盛產(chǎn)各種海鮮：魚丸爽滑脆嫩，營(yíng)養(yǎng)豐富；螃蟹肉質(zhì)肥美；海鮮飯色香味俱全，好吃到讓人根本停不下來！

會(huì)唱歌的石頭

There is a kind of “Singing Stones” in Pingtan. Hit the different stones with a stick. They will make different notes， just like they are singing. It’s amazing， isn’t it？

平潭還有一種“會(huì)唱歌的石頭”。你用棍子敲擊不同的石頭，它們就會(huì)發(fā)出不同的聲調(diào)，就好像在唱歌一樣。是不是很神奇？

Nora： These stones were formed by the crustal movement. They have different ingredients. So they can make different notes.

Mrs Yao： That’s great. I want to go and try it too.
